This was a long slow process. In the end, we were not happy with the choices that Arcus gave us.
We were satisfied with it. There were a couple of things we weren't satisfied with, but they corrected it.
The work was great, but there are a few things that are not done. They did not put the electrical plate covers back on, and the dishwasher is not stable. When you open it, it tilts forward and under one of the cabinets, they did not put the side wall back up so my dishes and cleaning supplies are together. When I talked to the project manager, he has not gotten back to me. I liked the first project manager, but didn't care for the second one that I got. He gave a lot of excuses of why the dishwasher was tilting forward, he said it is because it is old and as far as the cabinet he said htis is they way we do it now.
Do not use this company. They charge you but do not do all of the work on the estimate. When we told them some of the work was not done, the agent became argumentative and accusatory. In the end, we paid hundreds of dollars for work they never did, just to get them off of our property. It was an unpleasant experience.
It was a good service. Holly, the coordinator, was always on top of it. Brad, our project manager, provided good communication and he made sure everything was done correctly. He provided good quality.
Mitigation by Rainbow International was great! Rest of work was ok. Cleanup after was not performed. Glue left on hardwood. Final mistake was application of Quick Shine Floor Finish, which is a type of floor restoration product. The application of this product by Arcus employees left globs, places where it was not applied, bootprints on new floor and on tile in another room. Extremely disappointed in this.
The mitigation process went well. The project management side, not so well. Ordered flooring and found out the day it was supposed to be installed that it was on back order. I asked on multiple occasions prior to this date that the tracking on the flooring was still correct, and was reassured it was. Now, we have to wait another month for flooring and our toilets and dishwasher are still disconnected. We asked if they could be reconnected and were told that we would need to pay, or have insurance pay for it. If we had requested it I would be alright with paying to have them be reinstalled, however, this was a scheduling issue and do not believe that I or the insurance company should have to pay for it. When requesting information I get no response for a day or two. I had such a great experience with the mitigation crew we decided that we wanted to keep our business with Arcus, hindsight tells me that was a very big mistake.
Argus did a great job ,the only problem we had was with Allstate to get them to authorize the work which took forever.
I have already recommended the.
Arcus (Huntsville) never lived up as advertised. Restoration was half way done. Arcus promised to wipe down all walls, trimming, ceiling, duct work, as well as furniture. Furniture was not wiped down (proof of that). Some trimming was not wiped down (proof of that). And no one ever came by to perform duct work( which is on the bottom of the house). Arcus also was the lead of home repairs. They never was on schedule. Hire contractors came and from my knowledge, never really got along with Arcus's personnel. Therefore delaying the project to get done. Example: We got a door installed into the house. It was not ever level nor framed. On top top of that, the door was installed and left with no door knob or deadbolt, leaving my home insecure for a whole weekend. Installed walls had to be re-framed due to the poor job by hired help by Arcus. So in actuality we had to pay someone else to do a job they not even half way did. I have photos and videos for proof. Arcus initially charged us $8000 for a $1000 (maybe) type of job. It later was dropped to a lower price. We are honest working people and we don't feel like we deserve the efforts that Arcus performed. They never held on to there end of the deal. Arcus went over the coordinators head, she was left out of what was going on. Nothing was done in decent order.
Do not trust them into your house. They are loud obnoxious and do not respect privacy.
Do not use this company.
It seems like this company was looking to make money off of the insurance company. They were charging double than what I actually paid for my floor to be restored.
I'm not really happy with my flooring. We tried to get it taken care of. Some areas were corrected, but some were not. My tile floor in my bathrooms is also something I wasn't really happy with that.
ARCUS restoration was engaged through Alacrity Services to undertake a water damage repair to my home as a preferred agent of our insurance carrier. The original estimate for the repairs was 8 weeks and we moved into an apartment for the repair period. The apartment cost was paid by our insurer. It took 50 weeks for Arcus to complete the repairs due to mismanagement and lack of subcontractor oversight, requiring me to be their clerk of works pointing out malpractices. For example, they originally didn't pull a county permit for the works until prompted. This would have caused me problems in the future if work had carried on without a permit and follow on inspections. Their regional supervisor was extremely abrasive and elusive, often threatening to cancel the job until the insurers were made aware and put them back on place. Workmanship was marginal at best leaving unfinished damage to surfaces at their exit. The threat of lawsuits were used to finally get payment for damages incurred outwith the insurance claim. It is hoped that this company was backcharged by our insurance company for the additional lodging and storage costs incurred for the resulting extra 42 weeks and that they remove them from their preferred contractors list. Beware of this company should you be given the option of using them.
The company is not timely, they don't stick to the schedule and it is not due to weather delays. I believe they are too busy and take on too much work.
You all did a good job and it was done in a timely manner
Absolutely not. Work-wise they do a great job, but can't do the work in a timely manner. If this had been the home I had been living in there's no way I can recommend them.
Work is progressing but at a somewhat relaxed pace. However, workers are diligent when they are there. Hope finished product will be excellent but must wait and see.
Arcus did midigation good but after midigation my house was LEFT in DISREPAIR until FINALLY consruction crew came. The crew that came to put down new floors said they wouldnt even NOTIFIED until when they startedI AM UNHAPPY WITH MY SITUATION !
Friendly, professional, and quality service
We've been thoroughly pleased! Even though it was stressful to go through, Arcus Restoration made our experience as pleasant as possible. They were very patient with us.
When I asked questions about leveling the concrete slab floors, I was told "not to worry" that I would be happy with the completed job. I was also told they were flooring experts and that I watch to many DIY shows. The concrete slab floors were not leveled! Unhappy with flooring!
