Overall the Whitlock team did a very nice job with our home. We had a favorable overall experience during planning and construction and that has continued until today. We were very pleased with the efforts of Richard Reif that served (and continues to serve) as our primary project manager. We are still working on a few items to complete, but for the most part, the home was finished with high quality and considerable care. I think building during COVID presented several challenges that the Whitlock team had to navigate - labor costs, labor delays, illnesses, supply chain issues with materials, etc... We do not fault Whitlock with those issues - more environmental. Taking a step back, we worked as a partnership through the process which is critical for mutual success in a home of this magnitude.

There is no construction company that I would trust more. I know from prior building experience with Whitlock the quality of their work, their people and their company. I recommend them without reservation.

I respect and admire Paul very much he has integrity and does what he says he’s going to . All the workers are very respectful . Nathan was great when he oversaw a job for us .

Clean & Safe - I have not seen a job site so focused on safety. Very impressive. The job site is kept neat, clean, and detailed specs throughout. The cleanliness is important as I have severe allergies.

Employees & Subcontractors - Great people all around. This extends to the subcontractors. We feel very confident in all the trades.

Value - Whitlock may charge a premium, but you get a premium product. There is tremendous value in what they do and how they operate.

Additional Comments - First and foremost it was an absolute pleasure to work with Cliff Newbury and Mark Haggard. My wife and I were very impressed and thankful for all of their hard work and dedication to our project. They are both true professionals and extremely knowledgeable about their craft.Our weekly Wednesday morning meetings were by far the most helpful. Not only were we able to see the progress first hand but the face to face interaction is where we were able to problem solve very effectively. There were many examples but some major decisions regarding the stairwell, the hardwood floors, and the roofing were just 3 that stick out that could only have been effectively solved in person. Another reason that a customer should choose Whitlock is because of their expertise to fully complete a project with the highest quality. We always found everyone at Whitlock to be very professional in every interaction. There is a relationship of common respect and trust that needs to be built when hiring a contractor and we found that with Whitlock. Another aspect that was refreshing was when there were issues/problems, they were handled in a calm and effective manner causing us not to stress as an outcome. Communication back and forth was easy and effective; never had to say anything twice. The job site was always clean and safe.
