Bauer Estates LLC builds the Wausau Homes in Spring Valley and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone due to all the issues we are/have had with them.

Mike & Marissa were incredible to work with to design and build our home. We were upfront with them at the first meeting that we had never designed or built a home and would probably need a lot of help getting through the process. They said not to worry, they had our best interest in mind and they would help us make sure we got what we wanted within the costs we felt comfortable with. In the end we did spend more than we originally planned to, but we got a much better quality home than we had expected and we are over the moon happy with the entire process and the resulting home.

We were building a vacation property in northern WI but live in Colorado. Through good communication and openness to our needs, Nathan made the entire process as seamless as possible. This was the case, beginning with obtaining permits, taking down the existing structure, and moving forward with the new home. Nathan also made the effort to be present on “Set Day” which we really appreciated.

They were great to work with, Nick Hacker made it easy to go through the building process since we have never done this before. There was a crew here damm near every day and many times it was multiple crews. This building process with Hacker construction is much better than other building options.

They had the structure up and weather proofed in 3 days! Great way to build!

We would give 10 stars if we could!! These guys are awesome. Start to finish, the build was about as painless as could be. Issues were handled with good communication and OPTIONS!! Will never build another house as this one should last forever, but would use Scott and Arlene again in a heartbeat.

Assuming they would be willing to work a few miles outside of their perimeter, I would recommend Wausau Homes Cherokee in a heartbeat. Darren was the best. It was very easy to communicate with him. He was so organized. He always had answers to my questions. He was efficient and always in control. He had an eye for what would look good and made recommendations that made sense. Things got done when he said they were going to be done. I was building on a lot that had a high water table, so I knew there was going to be issues. Nothing was too much for Darren and Chad. They seemed to have experienced all of these issues before. The day of the build was amazing. The trucks pulled in on time. The whole process was synchronized. It was obvious this wasn't their first build. My electrician was in awe. He was amazed to see a house go up in one day. Darren coordinated very well with the excavator I recommended. He also worked well with my plumber. I can't say enough good things about Darren and Chad. I live on the east coast, so communication and timing were very important to me. I will miss working with them. They were so professional. If I need advice in the future, I will not hesitate to call Darren. I know he will point me in the right direction.

We would definitely recommend Wausau Homes Waverly to anyone who's looking to build their dream home ~ we say dream home because that's what you can have.

Wausau Homes are built like nothing else we have seen before. My wife worked for a few builders, including luxury home builders, in Maryland, VA and D.C. Quality and process are unlike any other builder. The process of floor planning and choosing siding, roofing, flooring, cabinets etc., were easy and enjoyable. Our builder was on top of everything and communicated as warranted. We never felt left out of the process or plans. We would highly recommend Wausau Homes Brainerd to friend and family.
