We have been Marrkal customers since a complet design and remodel in 2007. When we recently needed a major repair, we called Marrokal and no one else. With Marrokal, we knew that from start to finish, we were going to get the very best construction and repair advice, quality work, and great customer service.

We are overall very satisfied with our experience with Marrokal. Having a project manager oversee our remodel was smooth and consistent. From the designing with Steve Walton and Alcie Thomas, to the final inspection, we were always notified of any changes or issues. Steve and Alice were patient with us and made sure our requests were heard and implemented. The contractors were pleasant and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and left the construction site clean and tidy at the end of each day. We truly appreciate our Project Managers, Frank Balistreri, and Casey Core, as they guided us through the whole process with patience and professionalism but also made us feel like family. Last but definitely not least, our home remodel is gorgeous! We never want to leave the house! You all did an outstanding job! Thank you.

Too early in the process to make meaningful assessment

The Marrokal employees were professional and knowledgeable.

The recent service has been great. However the experience I had during the project and things I recently learned that were done poorly in the job keep me from being able to recommend for a remodel. That is the problem.

Marrokal is very responsive to customer concerns and questions. Our house is beautiful - exactly what we wanted!

I think that Marrokal took great pains to discuss just exactly what I wanted and what I needed and then made good suggestions of things that could be changed to make the remodel even better.

The Design team, opened our eyes to possibilities we didn't know were possible, and were exactly in line or were a logical extension of what we spoke about. Ultimately that is what we agreed upon and it came out beautifully

Open Ended - Project Manager - My project manager was a very nice person. He was considerate about us staying in the house and working around our schedule. We appreciated that. He was a very personable person. I truly believe he had my best interest. We were not just a number or money sign to him. Our project manager truly wanted to make sure we were happy with the home. That was really important.

Marrakal makes it easy to improve your home. I wish we had more experience so we could’ve know to pay more attention to certain design elements to image our overall satisfaction. But they made us a beautiful addition.

We did our major remodel in 2017 with Marrokal Design & Remodeling. Any issue that has arisen during that time, Marrokal Design & Remodeling has been on it. They have never given us a hard time, have always been fair, and have always done a good job.

Would not recommend for custom home, would for remodel

They forgot to order the tile for the kitchen backsplash and didn’t even realize it until it was time for installation! which delayed the project 6 weeks and they wouldn’t pay the appliance installers to come twice to install all the appliances except the stove in the meantime. The punch list should have been done during the 6 week delay when nothing was being done at all but it got passed off to a new project manager and punch list took 6 more weeks after tile…

We have used Marrokal twice for two separate remodeling projects, and have referred them to several friends and family members. Our second project involved the kitchen, and four new windows were installed. After about ten years the windows became foggy, so we called Marrokal to inquire about fixing them. Within one day we received a call from Frank to arrange to come to the house to check out the problem and see what could be done. He quickly made arrangements for a representative from Milgard Windows to come out to replace them. We are delighted to have our beautiful windows back and are very grateful to Marrokal for making the repair process so easy!

The entire experience was great, I would definitely go through Marrokal again personally if I ever need another large remodel. However, the price is a big consideration since Marrokal services are expensive.

Well, we got caught in the Jan 22, 2024 Atmospheric River (Whatever that NEW phrase is) that invaded our home and flooded 5 rooms. we have lived in this house for 37 years and have never seen this kind of weather before. we immediately called 2 people: A restoring company that moved all the furniture, cut 12 inches of drywall, etc, etc. Meanwhile my wife called Marrokal and Frank grabbed a crew of guys that immediately began digging a trench 4 feet deep and put 7 drains in and created enough fall that will forever protect us from future damage. Frank did a marvelous job ramrodding his guys to work fast as another rain storm was coming. Frank won the race and all the rocks that he put around the area has done an excellent job. We have used Marrokal 3 times for remodeling our home and the last remodel was about 25 years ago. We love our home and are happy that this disaster will never happen again.

My recent repair was handled expertly and satisfyingly; however we had a poor experience with the original remodel work in 2019. Answers below refer to the repair only.

This is our second major project with Marrokal and they did not disappoint. While no project goes exactly as planned, we were blessed to have a team of professionals there on a daily basis to support and guide us through the challenges. The project manager, Pete S, was outstanding and truly made the decision to trust Marrokal with our home absolutely worth it. We love our newly remodeled home and appreciate all the hard work from the team at Marrokal to make it happen.

They make it right!

The quality of the work performed was excellent. The project manager followed up with me to make sure the project was being completed in a timely manner and to my satisfaction.

I felt ignored for multiple months.

Architecture planning was a good process with John and Steve, but the design process was not a fun experience. We did not get any value from it. It cost us more time and aggravation and the fees for this service were not utilized.

Marrokal is more expensive than other options for a project like ours. We knew that. With that premium, we expected a more premium experience. Instead we had a typical experience where “the squeaky wheel gets the grease”. Delays are inevitable in construction, however many of ours could have been avoided with better planning and communication. But the several periods of weeks with no progress, or even any communication, disappointed us.

The architect and interior design team was topnotch and listened to our ideas, implemented them and provided their expertise and guidance in areas where we had questions and doubts. We would highly recommend!

We are very satisfied with the professionalism and communication throughout the process, and we are happy with the end product. In particular, the design process took into account our needs and how we would use the space.

This was our second project with Marrokal. Just as with the first, the design exceeded our expectations and the execution was professional and of the highest quality. Because this project was going to involve a near complete re-build our home from the foundation, we did talk to several firms to get a better feel for what we were getting ourselves into. Marrokal was the only candidate that gave us the confidence that the job would be done to our satisfaction.

This has been a difficult time to do any remodeling project, considering product supplies. They were able to complete the task at hand even against the overwhelming obstacles against them.

Reason For Choosing

Reason For Choosing - We ended up going with a design build firm that was not separate from the building, thinking that the connectivity between the design crew and construction would be better. We have had design builds completed in multiple places we have lived and thought that the design would have been better if the teams knew each other. We thought Marrokal was well thought of in the community and with the end product which is why we went with them for the end product and there is no reason to think otherwise at this time.

We have had two very good experiences with Marrokal. We appreciate the level of service and quality

From initial consultation to final walk through, we knew Marrokal was the best team to trust with our home. Everyone has a budget, and they made sure we stayed within our budget without compromising on quality or satisfaction with final design. We went from living in my Grand parents old house to living in our families forever home.

Unfortunately Marrokal fell short in delivering what was promised. While we would have loved to recommend their firm, we are unable at this time.

Very dissatisfied with the on-site mis-management of our project.

I'd NEVER recommend this company, even to my worst enemy.
