The J & F team completed work as scheduled and for the cost that was estimated. We have had several different projects completed and will use them again.

Excellent customer service! John was great at communicating expectations upfront and making sure that I knew where my decision space was on timing, etc, and how my decisions would impact budget.

I really like the people at J&F and they were on time and the project looked good at first. We had the cabinets refaced. However, a year later, six of the cabinets or drawers that are under the sink or by the side of the sink have warped and have to be replaced. It is apparently water damage, but that did not happen with the former cabinets, and we have not done anything differently regarding how we wash/dry dishes. J&F have offered to do the labor for the replacements for free, and even though it has been several months since this request, I'm sure they are working on it. However, if I were to do it again, I would see about getting better quality refacing, or get better quality cabinets.

We recently enjoyed our first Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners in our new kitchen, and we couldn't be happier!

We had wanted to update our kitchen for several years, but were always a bit overwhelmed by the scope of the work that we wanted done. Our neighbor recommended J&F Specialties, who had done several jobs for her. We made an appointment with John to discuss what we wanted to do. The meeting went very well - John was a pleasure to work with, and we were very impressed with his ideas and recommendations. We decided on a complete kitchen renovation, to include removal of a load-bearing wall to open up our dining area. We also asked John to re-face a fireplace, replace a hearth, add built-in cabinets to our family room, and install hardwood floors throughout our downstairs living area.

During our project planning, John made numerous visits to walk us through the design of the kitchen, dining room, and living room renovations.

John's designer Kaki was awesome! She easily took our vague ideas of color and design and solidified them. The end result is a beautiful living space that is a pleasure to come home to every evening.

John was very accommodating of our add-ins and change orders. He helped us to incorporate an antique washstand into a bathroom vanity as part of the renovations. He also made arrangements to include a matching piece of granite that we used on top of an antique sideboard that we turned into a bar. Even when we made a major change in the middle of the kitchen renovation john handled it calmly and discussed various options to incorporate the change we wanted.

Throughout the project John made frequent progress checks, both to check out the quality of the work and to make sure we were happy with the work.

John's team was attentive and polite. If we happened to come home while they were working, they would always take the time to answer any of our questions and walk us through the work they were doing.

Despite the extent of the project, we were very comfortable with John and his team, and were confident that they would do a great job.

Great job! Helped us go from vague idea to reality. High-quality work. Attended to everything we requested.

I'd definitely recommend them to my family and friends. They do an excellent job and are friendly and professional throughout.

Great to work with but would recommend making sure client is aware if there are days there would be no work going on. The client should not have to wonder about this.

John Boyton and his crew did an extreme beautiful job, on our complete basement renovation! They were timely, courteous, cleaned up the site daily, very skilled and I highly recommend them. I will use them again when we have further projects, as they arise in our home. They really are great!

This is the second cabinet re-facing job John has done for us. They are always courteous, clean, on time, on budget and honest. Its amazing how a simple re-facing can change the look of a kitchen or bathroom and not be the price of changing out all the cabinets. John and his Guys are great craftsmen and do beautiful work.

All of the staff are top of the line. I was prepared to move to a residential hotel because everything done was in the middle of the house. Not needed. Total kitchen demolition and renovation done. Screened porch beautifully done --I can keep the door open and sit outside without bugs! John and his crew were also very tolerant of my 4 year old standard poodle who is quite inquisitive and effusive with his affection.

ok first of all, selecting J&F as your contractor is like working with family,,,dah,,, it is a family business and they treat every customer like they are extended family and John the owner treats every job not as just a job he thinks of it as working on his own house,,if it is not right or going to look good he isn't going to do it. he will stop the job think about it pull the customer back into the project and solve it and move on..
