Clean - They did a great job keeping everything clean -never left a mess-and had some tools that really kept dust to a minimum.

Recognized Excellence - Project Lead Scott Kresge - knowledgeable, organized, professional, calm, creative problem solver, incredible eye for detail - and interacts great with homeowners - even when I had fussy / frustrating moments he just came up with a solution.
Areas For Improvement - Please note these are suggestions v criticisms. Helpful if subs (specifically plumbing) communicate better with Project Lead - they confirmed would be here on Day “x” and then were a no show - which meant our schedule had to get pushed out. We were ok with having painter here on weekend (we weren’t going anywhere) but if unable to accommodate then the completion would have been pushed out a few more days. Painting was good but was a little pricey; we have noticed a few areas that Scott even specifically had notes about / instructions that were not followed. If have subs alone on job site (especially if he/she has questions of homeowner or homeowner has questions) try to avoid any language barriers. Not sure what software is used for billing but more detailed invoices would be helpful. For instance, rather than just “Lowe’s” or “Ferguson’s” include date and what was purchased.
Areas Of Satisfaction - Many areas! You never know what you will encounter in these old houses - and when you do it’s usually at a point of no return. Even though not “required” in bathroom with a window, we still wanted an exhaust fan, but with needed clearances, unable to put in ceiling. They figured out what fan size would work and mounted on side wall. Rafa then came up with way to frame it to improve appearance. When it became apparent that contractors who installed central air 20+ years ago hadn’t bothered to install some proper ductwork, we became aware of mold problem behind crown moulding, in ceiling between floorboards, etc. The team got busy remediating the issue and came up with a creative solution. When we also realized how warm the powder room would be without a/c register, team came up with way to split airflow. To get all of this done required ripping out a section of living room ceiling, which Rafa patched up afterwards in such a way that it blends perfectly. Also want to give shout out to Mason for overall design. Powder room looks like it’s alway been part of this house!
Additional Comments - Just to thank everyone at HomeMasons, Inc. for the kitchen counters / backsplash project and now the powder room. Working on the house “handyman” and “basement” lists - looking forward to having folks back for our next project(s)

He would let me know what he could provide and at times I would use them because it was difficult during COVID to get someone who could do the skill. It was was worth the cost to use HomeMasons. During COVID some of the material was more expensive.

Expertise - The Lead Carpenters assigned to our project were meticulous and very responsive to our questions and in dealing with changes.

All the contractors were professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. The work was exceptional.
The job took significantly longer, and the expenses were more than what we were expecting. There were mistakes that needed to be rectified, and that delayed the process.
I can't imagine using anyone else for my home repairs. They are consistently excellennt!
Preparing a house to put on the market is very stressful, and bringing Mason and his team in for the punch list type projects saved my sanity. I just wished we'd engaged Home Masons sooner for some of the bigger projects.

Areas Of Satisfaction - We called on HomeMasons to fix problems created by another contractor. The work itself wasn’t difficult but having to deconstruct bad work and correct it is difficult. The quality of their work was excellent and they kept us well informed at every step.
