They did an excellent job building it and the timeframe but their work crew was messy. Other than that, they did a good job.
Great compeditive deal for a new home
You certainly get a lot of value for the money. You can’t beat the cost per square foot, but there is A LOT of work on the part of the homeowner. So, while you’re getting a great deal, you’re going to put in a lot of time. That said, Heritage delivered on their promise.
All of the young men were very mannerable. I enjoyed working with them. It took almost a year, but it was worth it. Everyone that comes here likes my house. They did a good job. All of the young men were wonderful.
The people at heritage builders were remarkable with communication and getting our home built in a very timely manner
I tried to recommend Heritage Homes to my friends, but after they saw the issues that we were having with our home, they decided not to go with Heritage homes. One of the issues that we were having was with our floor.
I was not happy with my experience.
EVERYONE WAS WONDERFUL!!!!
Dustin Schell was my go to person!!
He was AWESOME...
The communication was outstanding! He always returned my calls in a timely manner. He made the process SEAMLESS!! Girard kept us informed of the steps we needed to do during the process. He was AWESOME.
Joe helped us in the beginning when we started the process. He was GREAT!!
ALL the ladies in the office were so friendly and personable!!!!
Thank you Heritage Homes for such a WONDERFUL experience building our new home!!!!
Markel Rocker, the construction manager, made it a very easy process. He was very knowledgeable, handled things efficiently, and was very responsive whenever I contacted him.
I was highly impressed. They came and got the job done. The house looks good, it's warm, and the carpet looks good. Eric did a good job.
They need to have a little more communication. Heritage Homes' personnel needs to back off when they say a homeowner does not need to be notified when they make decisions without the HO knowledge. They personally bought stuff that was not ordered to begin with. When I asked questions, their response was that they could change things without my knowledge and not tell me. The paperwork they gave me said if we order something and can't get it in a timely manner, then they can change it.
There was an issue with sewage backing up in my new home. The crew member named Butch suggested I call Brown Plumbing to resolve the issue. After paying them several thousands of dollars, they were not able to fix the problem. I then went to Frank Lott, the general manager for Heritage Homes, and he was not able to help us either. He was very rude and did not even want to discuss the issue with us. I was very upset about this issue and thought the way Frank treated us was unacceptable.
Value - It is very fair price that I pay
Sales Knowledge - I like that salesman Joe he is very nice and helpful thank you.
Additional Comments - Dustin answer my question and fix the problem very fast he is a good builder. And he is very easy to talk to I would recommend to others thank you
Overall, it was a great experience. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to build a good home for a reasonable price. I liked the ease of the process. Heritage has a good process to help people who are building a home for the first time. Being able to make some minor changes and customizations has given us a beautiful high-end-looking home without the high-end price tag!
The brick work outside of the house was terrible. It was redone a few times. It is still not correct.
The length of time it took to build was a huge disappointment. And the quality of sub-contractors was the worst. They brought workers in that were not qualified to the tile work and the carpet. The walk-in shower had to be torn out multiple times (2) because the tile was not installed properly installed and the carpet was installed with seams showing and areas where it buckled up because it was not stretched correctly. Then we were encouraged by the construction manager to just accept the atrocious craftsmanship and get it repaired later using the warranty.
After living in the house for the first week most of the interior doorknobs fell off.
Having blinds professionally measured and installed it was discovered that quite a few of the windows were not square. The framers installed bowed out boards causing the window to be narrower in the middle than it was at the top and bottom.
Before the building inspector would sign off on the occupancy permit, he discovered a large piece of the a/s trunk duct that was never installed causing the a/c to blow out into the air handler closet. Again, demonstrating the disgustingly poor quality of sub-contractors used by Heritage Homes.
There are electrical outlets in the wall that move left and right several inches because they were not properly installed. And the light fixtures are the cheapest product that this company could buy at Lowe's of Home Depot.
And it is for these reasons and more that we are discovering daily that I cannot ever recommend this builder.
Heritage Homes was not the easiest to work with.
I am grossly disappointed and unhappy with the quality, workmanship, and substandard contractors.
I have already recommended Heritage and had two separate friends walk through the house we built to get an idea of what they could expect if they went with Heritage.
The build time took extremely long. The communication between the owner and construction representative was very inadequate.
They are super unorganized. The owner is very rude.
Not everything was perfect
Buying a home is stressful. Building a home is just as stressful. Using Heritage Homes was not only stressful but regretful. The communication was horrible. When asked questions, several different answers were given by different people. Things were left up to the homeowner to do that were never discussed nor listed on the Heritage Homes website. Three months later after closing and we are still waiting for appropriate parts and corrections to the home. Little communication is being given surrounding when these corrections will be complete.
Final product was good, but the length of time it took to get to final product was a little ridiculous
We had a few issues with them. It was frustrating along the way. Overall, I am happy with the house.
Not likely
NEVER!!! Too many lies, and too many corners cut.
This is the 2nd time building with Heritage in our family and both times we had a great experience. And the ending result with a beautiful new home built right.
Recognized Excellence - Yes Butch and Lex where awesome throughout the whole process and where both there when I needed them. Also Michelle was so nice and professional at closing.
We love our Heritage Home and would definitely use Heritage again and recommend them to others. A very quality home with affordability.
We had the best experience. Eric, our builder, was absolutely the best. We had no complaints and the billing process was fun and easy. We would recommend them to anybody and do it again.
Likes & Dislikes - There is nothing I dislike. I like the openness, quality, value, and it's exactly the way we want it.
Recognized Excellence - I would like to recognize our builder, Eric Brewer, Thea, Michelle, Candice, and the whole staff, for their exceptional service.
Likes & Dislikes - The roominess of the home is one thing I like. I don't have anything in particular that I dislike.
I will NEVER recommend Heritage to anyone I call family or friend. If I dislike the person, I'll send them ya'lls way.
Heritage Homes doesn't care about their work. They are contractors, and they do not care about anything.
The process took a year longer than I was told. There were several things in the walkthrough that have yet to be fixed, such as paint chippings. The contractor didn't seem to think the issues we told him were important. When we asked where the paint was from that they were getting, he told us to go to Sherwin-Williams to get it ourselves.
The process of building a home with Heritage needs to be covered better during the initial office visits. I think Heritage homes are a great value for what you get, the cavate is that there's issues that arise with the low cost. Trades do not want to do the work and your project is always done as a last resort. Communication during the project was spotty at the best. New build owners especially "rookies" like us need more guidance and information up front. Once again great bang for the buck, just be ready for the ride!
There are all kinds of things I'm not happy with in my house, and the entire process was a nightmare.
The build took too long, had too many mistakes, and things were done out of order.
It's a good price for the house they built.
They just took forever.
still has not installed bathroom exhaust fan exterior vent we have been in home since february
It takes too long to build a house.
They are poor quality homes. The brick work is terrible, there are a lot of imperfections, discolorations, and the lines aren't straight. I am in the construction industry, so I look at this stuff a little differently, but this is poor quality. I am very dissatisfied with the whole thing.
I have been in the home for a month, and I am doing a warranty request right now because I can't even get into my garage. They have had to come out twice to make repairs to the fuse panel, so I could use electricity in the home because my refrigerator and microwave wouldn't work. I am not happy.
Heritage Homes is a good company.
There were a lot of problems getting materials and a lot of times that they didn't have workers and they were behind. That was because of COVID and I am understanding of that but it took a long time to get our house completed. The workers that were here were good and I had no problems with them. They were always available when I had a question. It's nothing against the company just the fact it took so long.
Heritage Homes did a great job.
Recognized Excellence - I would like to recognize Markel Rocker, the superintendent, for his exceptional service. He provided good communication on a regular basis.
Areas Of Satisfaction - Heritage Homes exceeded my expectations in terms of their finish work. The bar looks great, and they did more finish work than expected. The insulation is very good.
After I signed the contract it was 22 months to completion. It was a horrible experience
The house is beautiful and well made. There are a few cosmetic issues but its just me being picky. Dustin Schell was our Forman and he was wonderful and patient with all of our questions.
Likes & Dislikes - I like the ending value of my home.
Recognized Excellence - I would like to recognize Kevin Watley and the closer. The closer was exceptional.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The cost to value and project manager met my expectations. The project manager excelled in trying to meet expectations.
Additional Comments - If COVID-19 wasn't an issue with the supply chain and economic issues, I would use them again and it would not be any issues. There were times that people could not or would not work due to COVID-19.
Contractor were Terrible. Lack Communication . People never showed up to do work when supposed to
Due to continuous delays, unprofessional behavior, non English speaking workers with no supervision I would not recommend this builder to anyone
