Before we started our project, Ben promised to make this project go as smoothly as possible and he and his crew have made good on his promise. We have additional work that needs to be done and hope to work with Ben Tyler Building and Remodeling again.
Dust barriers were put up to keep everything contained to the construction area during demo and then put back up again while our wooden floors were redone. Plastic sheets were put on top of all of our "stuff" in the basement so that debris and cement didn't get all over our things...this was an issue underneath the bathroom that we had redone.
Everybody has been extremely nice. For the most part, all of the subcontractors remained in the construction area.
Of course, we have run into some unexpected issues that have been brought to my attention. Charlie, our project manager, has resolved those issues with great efficiency.
Charlie has kept me informed about everything. Letting me know what subcontractors are coming on what day. Also, he is sure to let me know what time people are expected to arrive.
Charlie has been very helpful in what some would call a very disruptive time. He addressed any pressing issues (e.g., cement that had come through the slats in the bathroom floor, taking look at a toilet malfunction (continuously running) in another area of the house, getting us immediate help when we had a pipe burst in our crawl space during our inclement winter weather, etc.). Have enjoyed chatting with Charlie and he has been very understanding as we have gone through all of the phases of our construction.
Yes, I would definitely use Ben Tyler Building and Remodeling again. We have additional work that needs to be done and I would like to think that we could work with the same group. Having Charlie as our project manager was definitely a good match.
Jeremy did a great job analyzing the situation before work began so as to have a quality product upon completion. He came over to my house several times to get it right before any work started.
