Our overall experience (replacement of all wood lap plank siding and trim with Hardie) was great. As one example, for several weeks prior to project start, PSI was able to provide a protective covering for a deteriorating portion of the house, and then did a good job of repairing the underlying framing in that area prior to installing the new siding and trim. Their willingness to answer many detailed questions prior to and during the project was essential in helping us make material and color choices, and to better understand how the work would proceed and what would be required of us. In addition to the care they took in installing the siding itself, PSI work crews paid close attention to smaller details such as flashing around doors and windows and to the Hardie-recommended blocking for wall penetrations. They were attentive in addressing best ways to deal with sub-optimal features of the house framing, lighting penetrations, and attached structures. In addition, at their own expense, they fully addressed an unfortunate situation in which some custom hardware was inadvertently discarded by their crew, by sourcing hard-to-find replacement hardware and engaging specialists to install the replacements. We found PSI's communications and customer focus to be superior to other contractors that we have engaged, which was very refreshing.

Areas Of Satisfaction - Everyone who worked on our project was extremely friendly and professional. Steve Ginsberg delivered everything he promised us and more, for which we are very grateful. Just one example of the lengths he would go, we had windows installed right before our siding project and he had stopped by to coordinate the siding install with them. In the process, he noticed that the molding they were installing wouldn't match the rest of the house windows as we had ordered. He alerted us and we were able to get that corrected before it even became a problem. Steve’s attention to detail is exceptional, you really understand that he cares about his work. His advice was always solid and he was a pleasure to work with. And of course, the Hardie siding he installed looks absolutely amazing. I would recommend Preferred Siding without hesitation.
