After speaking with several vendors, Preferred Siding stood out immediately. Their professionalism, clarity, and attention to detail gave us confidence long before any work began. Our home also needed new windows, and one of our early concerns was making sure the siding and window installations would be coordinated seamlessly. We had originally selected a separate window company, but when we tried to arrange a joint meeting, they refused to come out without a signed contract. When I mentioned this to Steve from Preferred Siding, he recommended a window professional he trusted and someone who would collaborate closely to ensure the siding and window phases aligned perfectly. Because of the careful consideration Steve had already shown, we decided to switch window contractors and follow his recommendation. From there, we had multiple planning meetings where every trim detail and design choice was thoroughly mapped out. Preferred Siding provided just that with excellent communication and prompt (almost immediate) customer service, an uncommon willingness to work with us on project timing and materials, and a wonderful and friendly installation crew producing impeccable results! We strongly and whole-heartedly recommend Preferred Siding.

They listened to my preferences, showed me examples of what matched those preferences, provided detailed quotes, answered all of my many questions, did excellent work, got my approval when any additional fix was needed (house is 70 years old), quality reviewed the final work before issuing the final invoice. They were honest, true to their word, and did a top job for a fair price.

Had a General Contractor, Winn Design install James Hardie siding 20 years ago. They demonstrated their lack of knowledge and experience with the product during installation. Fast forward to 2025 when I realized that I had to replace the previously installed siding due to its poor installation but wanted to continue with James Hardie siding. I was fortunate to encounter Preferred Siding and its owner, Steve. Preferred Siding only installs James Hardie siding, they are a small company that has only two crews. The crews are highly skilled, well familiar with the James Hardie siding and their specifications because that's all they work with. Due to their knowledge and experience with the materials, they were meticulous with their work and demonstrated their craftsmanship during the installation. I could not express enough how satisfied I am with the finished product of this project. Thanks to Preferred Siding I can now rest easy knowing that the exterior of my house is now in tip top shape and quite attractive. Already have had a few neighbors inquire about who I used.

From the start, the PSI team was professional as they were understanding with my insurance challenges; flexible as my construction period was moved up; diligent as the workers prepared scaffolding and material deliveries with precision; experienced as workers hand nailed the planks onto my end unit townhouse for an upscale look; considerate upon completion as scaffolding removal and clean up was so thorough you'd never know that they were there; and all the work was completed earlier than expected.

Our house looks beautiful. The attention to detail and the finishing is top notch. Gorgeous, high quality work for what I know to be a very reasonable price.
