A+++ Rytech was great to work with..JD was on top of his game.

I am likely to recommend Rytech of the Upstate to a friend because they were prompt and consistent.

The service was professional however the overall result was less than satisfactory.

I appreciated the quick response time, but wish the crew had been more careful with my home during remediation

They were very professional in what they did, and I felt safe with them in my house.

They did a bad job. They took forever. They didn't communicate with me. They put things in trash bags and not in boxes. They did not take care of family heirlooms. They did a poor job.

My house got flooded with sewer backup. They pretended to come out and do so much. They were supposed to go under my home and dig it out. They came out here and I watched them. I have a video of a short man. He had a young boy in his 20's maybe going underneath there and he didn't know what he was doing. They didn't dig the dirt down. They said they had to dig it down to the fresh dirt and put chemicals on it. I never saw any of that. They left my window standing wide open and it was cold. We were staying at a motel. They told us to get out of the house because it was that bad. He left the door unlocked and open. I called his supervisor. They told me that I could call. I would never recommend them to anyone. These kids out here get jobs and halfway do them. They will make businesses look really bad. I want to have someone come in and see what they have to say about it underneath my home. You can get hepatitis and diseases from it. My house is across from the manhole for the sewer. Spectrum came through and was shooting fiber underground and I know they hit my sewer line. I didn't have a minutes trouble until they did that. It came in the sink, toilet, dishwasher, and everywhere it could come up. The two guys didn't do their job. I asked them to come out here and see what I was talking about. It smelled so bad. My hall closet smells bad. You shouldn't be able to smell it at all if it were done right. They said they would put plastic and stuff down. I got a bill for $5,500.00 and sent it to insurance. I told them it wasn't worth them even paying it. I don't know what they did. I don't want them to try and condemn my home. It's been rough and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Rytech was really friendly. They let me borrow some of their fans for about a week while they were trying to dry everything out, which was really nice.
They got everything set up for me and did a lot of extra things I wasn't expecting, like cutting areas out that looked really bad, and cleaned up really well.

Very professional

There was a lack of communication. There were some things they did that they didn't communicate, like dismantling the plumbing in the kitchen. I did not know they removed the plumbing, so went to dump something in the sink, and it went straight through to the underside.
They did not ask me what I wanted them to do with the removed plumbing. They just stacked it in the corner and ended up being really messy when I had to get in there and left stains on the wall. They could have said what they did so I was aware of it or asked what would you like us to do with this. There was none of that simple communication that would have resolved simple issues.
They didn't do a good job scraping the old adhesive off the slab, so the flooring guys had to spend extra time and effort on their part scraping all of that clean before they could come in and do their job installing a new floor.
I don't know if Rytech is supposed to rip up all the wood or if they are to rip it up and scrape it clean. Again, that was not communicated to me. No one walked up and said this is exactly what they were supposed to do, what we are going to do, or what we have done. I like it when people keep me in the loop on my house.

They communicated extremely well,and did exactly what they said they would do.

Andrew did a fine job. However, he was sent with 5 dehumidifiers, I believe that was what those things were. Unfortunately, they were never used….just staged for photos. Which, unfortunately, makes you wonder.

The contractor said that we had a dishwasher leak when they tore up the floor under the cabinet. They had to remove part of the floor, and they cut it in a way that it could not be replaced. We have to do the whole room.
