Enjoyed working with your company
Every one I talked too was very nice
Chaba and Ken were great to work with. They helped me understand the scope of the work and made appropriate recommendations.
I was disappointed with the re-roof work Interstate performed. Before trusting them with my home, I carefully researched roofing, obtained multiple bids from local companies and did a close, apple-to-apples comparison.
Interstate specifically scheduled my job at the start of a four-day weather window. The Monday work was to begin, they cancelled because the crew assigned was still on another job. They told me the next three days would still be plenty of time to finish my roof. But they were short a full crew every day, despite being three miles away in Tigard. Only two men worked the first two days, three thereafter. Each day the crew said they had expected to have the rest of their team, but those people were supposedly stuck on another job. Roofers doing dangerous work without the normal coordination of a full team get exhausted. Predictably, a mistake Wednesday caused water to leak into the house overnight.
By Thursday the project was way behind. By Friday, predicted rain came hard with my roof half done. The crew asked permission to work the entire weekend in the rain, each day until well into dusk. My roof had to be tarped. In all, I was forced home for seven days watching, worrying about my house and various aspects of the project. Compared to homes recently re-roofed in my neighborhood by various companies, the job I got was much slower and more inefficient. All the scrambling up and down and all around my roof in the rain over extra days put extra wear and tear on the new material being installed.
The Interstate crew was also careless in dropping heavy metal implements and lumber from two stories up, most definitely not fine when the objects narrowly missed landing on my garden gate and beautiful aggregate concrete walkway.
Even the roof I eventually got was not exactly what I contracted for. I had specifically discussed with the Interstate estimator that to minimize unneeded penetrations on the roof; only one new intake vent into my main attic cavity was required to add air flow. Instead, I got four, including into separate cavities where extra intake was unneeded. The supervisor told me this was due to the estimator not communicating the desired spec.
On the day of the final inspection, I took time to provide the supervisor a constructive review of the project. He politely acknowledged every problem, indicated Interstate had not meet its own standards and “looked very bad,” and apologized. He said he had fired the crew on the project. I took no consolation in that. I had gotten to know the crew, spoke Spanish with them, and--appreciating how hard they worked--gave them sodas and a batch of my mom's cookies. The problems I experienced seemed not about the subcontracted crew but Interstate's lack of oversight and urgency.
Communication and follow-up from Interstate was oddly poor. In every phase whoever spoke with me never checked back again. The original estimator/sales person? Never heard from him again (in fact, when I was at the front desk of Interstate's corporate office paying my bill, he walked past me, made eye contact but didn't even recognize me). Nor did the job scheduler/coordinator ever check back. The only reason I had any contact with the supervisor was because I stayed home, proactively waiting for him to show up sometime during the day. Email and text messages I sent during the project went unanswered. And Interstate's administration? Unbelievably, after the final inspection I heard nothing from Interstate for two full weeks. Finally, they emailed me the $10,500 bill (with my name wrong) as if nothing had happened. No adjustment. Not even a token credit for future work. I'd been patient and professional with literally each and every person at Interstate. Each one just handed me off to the next as if I was just a number on their computer screen.
Interstate Roofing LLC was incredibly fast, clean, thorough and very professional.
Interstate roofing met our expectations for scheduling and providing us with options.
There was an issue with the shingles offering on our estimate. The problem was we were not offered the higher quality 300 shakes we wanted. It was not put in on the estimate, and we are in correspondence with Interstate. It may impact our HOA requirements.
Meet my expectation.
Good people
Very professional completed in a timely manner.
I got four different bids and interstate was the quickest and straight to the point. There were no problems with the bid and no hidden fees. They were straight forward about it.
I'm delighted with Interstate Roofing. We got multiple bids, and they turned out to be the bid-winner. They were reasonably priced, the largest size, and the most experienced of anyone we got bids from.
Interstate Roofing was super easy to work with and super professional. Good value, service and communication.
This is the second re-roof that Interstate has done for us. A major contributing factor to choosing them again was the quality of the workmanship on the first re-roof. Their price point was also very competitive.

I would recommend Interstate because they they did what they promised in less time than I expected.
They did an amazing job.
Good price, professional and efficient crew
Having someone come out to the house and review the estimate and go over what to expect was so helpful. The process went as described. Everyone seems to work so well together to make the job go seamless. I would recommend Interstate Roofing.
Na
The Interstate Roofing team was great. You can have confidence in them. They wanted to ensure I was satisfied with everything. There was a big storm after the installation and some of the shingles lost their grain. It was determined the shingles were faulty. Interstate handled the claim with Owens Corning. The roof was reinstalled about a week ago. I am glad I went with Interstate. Had I gone with a mom-and-pop company, I would've had to handle it myself. Interstate's warranty employee who does the warranty investigation handled it all for me
I recommend that the customer find out how much voltage is needed for their equipment before they plug it into your house. We lost our furnace for three days, right before Christmas.
Terrible communication, too many different people giving different information, lack of follow up or double check of work. I should not have to continue to chase them to fix issues. It felt very new business feel instead of a company in business for 35 years.
PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL .
Poor communication throughout project.
Such a pleasant and smooth transaction from beginning to end
