The total price was much more than anticipated

I felt at times during the initial interview like I was buying a new car when discussing cost. Numbers being tossed around and 'checking with my manager to see if he will approve this amount'. Always makes me feel like being manipulated and actually still paying more than the job actually required. Pleased with the work done, the product supplied and the project manager was really good working with my HOA to get their 'blessing' on work that needed to be done. On site manager was friendly, informative and answered all my questions.

I would never recommend this company unless someone has extra money to spend. Poor communication and the work I was promised did not happen. They have an A+ rating with the BBB. After this experience, I have no idea hot that is possible and am half tempted to file a complaint with them. If I had to do it over again, I would not go with Home Genious Exeriors for my project.

This has been a horrible experience to say the lease. Everything started off well. Tje sale guy Stone qas great, he sis not pressure me into a buy. I told him tje price he was quoting me was too expensive. He stated that was the lowest he could go. I told him I can not do that price, he understood, and he packed up amd left. The next day i received a call from Marc Bidic quoting me another price that I was comfortable with and I decided to take on Home Genius as my roofing company. The process to set up financing went smooth. The horrible part came when I was assigned to Jason as my project manager. One of the reasons I chose HG was because Stone put great emphasis on their company communicating with the client throughout the entire install process. This did not happen at all. On the first day after I signed the contract, I was told by Marc that the job would take place on Weds. I then get an email from Destiny telling me that someone would rea ch out to me to give a date the job would start. I reached back out via email letting the know the date i was given by Marc. No one ever responded. I had to email them again to find out when the job would be started. It was confirmed it would infact be Weds. The crew came early in the morning to start and it started smoothly. It took them 2 days to finish, while was fine. On the second day when they finished up it was a **** mess! They left nails in my driveway, they left my siding hanging down in several places. I was told my attic fan would be removed completely and and made to look like the roof. The attic fan was still there. They damaged my brand new gutters. They put some type of white material where my home and roof meets and it looked horrible. It was a complete mess! I called and texted Jason several times to let him know what was going on, he never responded. I then emailed Alyssa and she responded stating the issues will be addressed. I finally spoke with Jason and I asked him if I can speak with someone above him and I was told no I could not because he was the project manager. I expressed to him that he is horrible with communicating and the fact that I paid $19,595 to get this roof the least he could do is communicate and respond to my request. He stated special materials had to be ordered for the trim. They fixed and replaced my gutters, they fixed the hanging siding they left exposed and I was satisfied with the job and I paid. Fast forward to this Sunday 11/16/25. We had a lot of windows in my area. I notice some loud bangs against my house. I got to inspect and I find that my siding at the top of my house where the roof and siding meet is hanging off and blowing in the wind. This tells me that the crew did not secure my siding correctly, which is how the wind was able to rip it off. I took video and texted it to Jason right away. I know it was Sunday so I was expecting a response until Monday. I also emailed Alyssa, Destiny, and another individual to show them the video. Monday comes I got an email stating they got my email and the team will be consulted and they will get back to me. I called Jason on Monday and texted him twice, he never responded. It is now Tuesday. I still have not heard from Jason or anyone else. With my siding hanging off and my home being exposed to the elements this can cause damage my roof and my home. I am beyond disappointed with this company and the way they communicate. The fact that I can speak to anyone besides the person that is horrible with communication is really missing me off. I am now going to have to reach out to my lawyer. I have a life time warranty on parts, labor, and workmanship and if this is what I am going good to have to endure when something goes wrong I am not at all happy or feel confident they will hold up their end of the contract. Please don't use this company.

The overall experience was not what I would have expected from talking with the sales person.

Genius removed the old roof and replaced with a new one. The project manger Edgar and his crew were very respectful of my outdoor furniture and plants. The job was completed in a timely manner and I would recommend Genius to others.

They were very up front; everything they promised, they delivered. Compared to other companies that claim to do one thing and then do something else, this company was not like that.

I was not aware that Home Genius employees were not going to be used and the work was sub contractors. I expected to be working directly with Home Genius employees.
