I needed a new roof and gutters. Ryan Boileau was the salesman. Because our credit scores were so high, we were expecting to finance through our credit union, bank, or retirement funds. Somehow we signed off on Service Finance Co. with a rate of 8.09%. I thought we were only signing off on a contract to do the work. Ryan did not tell us the percent, or we would not have signed until we had investigated other financing options above. So I repeat, we did not know how much the rate was or who the bank was before we signed. He did tell us that we would not have to begin payments for a year.
Our project manager, Zach, was a no show throughout the construction process. He said he came by a couple times and knocked on the door. We didn't hear him probably because of all the construction noise. He should have made a greater effort to contact us. I went out on a regular basis to see what was going on and was available the entire time during construction. When I got on the Better Business Bureau website, I found numerous posts extolling the fact that the project manager was available and kept the buyers informed as to what was being done on their houses. So, based on these reports I was surprised that I didn't meet Zach until he came by after the work had been completed to tell us that we had signed off on the financing and we had to sign that the work had been completed. He was a nice guy with a winning smile, but to my knowledge he had not inspected the project during construction or after completion.
Sometime between completion of the project and completion of paperwork, one of your representatives (I think his name was Mario) called to tell us that he had looked at the photos taken by Ryan and he thought we needed new fascia, and it would ONLY cost another $6000. The Fascia on my house is fairly new, so I knew he was full of __it. When Zach came by, he confirmed that my fascia looked fine. Mario's call I would rate somewhere between bait and switch and high pressure tactics.
In contrast to the problems above, the crew that worked on the house were great. I have never seen people work so hard in my life - basically for twelve hours straight in sweltering heat and humidity. I hope they're paid fairly. They are the only reason I've rated you two stars instead of one. Of course, it hasn't rained yet, so we'll see how this turns out.
They were quick and efficient and got the job done in one day. The cleanup was good, and they were nice people.
HG maybe a very professional company however. The work that was performed in my Pennsylvania home was unprofessional.
The house was flooded with rain water during roof replacement, the driveway damaged by the dumpster. They installed different color gutter and never came back. The 3 jobs roof, gutters, siding all had to call back several times.HG has no supervision on site they come for 5 minutes and leave. The subcontractors supervisor is not there all the time supervising.
Its the subcontractors they use are not trained to do a good job.
You pay a very high price for this job and sales person paints very well. If you decide to go with HG read the contract two or three times asked many questions.

Everyone was fine.
They never follow up. I keep calling, and the problems keep rising. I have been emailing, documenting, and picturing. Brent, the project manager, was supposed to come over three times now. He canceled every time. It was just not a good experience with Genius. It doesn't seem like they have enough people to cover their jobs or even look over their jobs at the end.
The roof and everything was conducted within one day. They tore the old roof and solar panels off. They were neat and prompt. Everything fell into place within 7-10 days and I am satisfied.
Service was great and interactions were pleasant.
It was a little more expensive. It was on the expensive side of things. It was all in all satisfactory. It was higher cost but higher quality.
I will certainly recommend the company to friends, neighbors, and family. I think you have a great company and Amanda. Your sales person was amazing.
I appreciated what they did on the job; it was all fine and thank you so much.
Make sure you pay attention so job is done the way you want to be.
The worker were professional, knowledgeable and courteous
Home Genius Exteriors - Philadelphia were very efficient, kind, and did their job really well. I was very satisfied.
After a shaky start we received a quality job at a good price.
Good communication with project managers, crew was very efficient and careful.
They were wonderful to work with.
Permits were not pulled for the roof. We received a violation in the mail and they told us they would take care of it before the violation date. They didn't. Then we received a summons for court and had to pay a $1,000 fine. I went to the court and paid a fee, then they said they would take care of it but it was too late. I called the day before installation to be sure they had the permits in hand and they said they did, which was not true.
