The agreed on price for the job was $6000 and then I get a bill for $7000. It was a big shock… with $6200 instead of $6000 as agreed upon an additional $500 to replace bad boards and $300 to install a ridge vent which is a standard procedure to help the roof breathe properly…. what’s the point of having a contract if the contractor doesn’t agree to it, they said I can make payments to make up the difference, which didn’t make sense to me. A contract is a contract, but long story short after talking to them they settled with the original price… they are great people to work with but I got screwed over by two other contractors one is JTL custom construction out of Dodge Center. This guy is a complete piece of **** with 21 charges against him for theft by swindle dishonored checks. You name it this ******* has done it, and another company in Rochester that does siding that was on a Chatfield really ****ed me over but I can’t say the name of that company because when we went to court, I have a gag order which prevents me from saying the name of their company.
