Issue #1: When requested I paid my deposit immediately (12/3/24) and was told multiple times that the job would likely happen December 18th *(by the original salesmen and by Jose who I assumed was the person I dropped my deposit off to) - I would receive a call if any issues popped up and reschedule was necessary. There was a couple of additional items needed from me and I completed them within hours - always sent back on the day I received any request for info. The 18th arrives and no crew at my house, no call from the office. I have to call them to be alerted that there was some issue procuring the permits and I will get another call when they are ready to reschedule. I gave time over the holiday since I knew that the Mission Viejo permitting office was closed for two weeks. Once I knew they were open I reached out (1/6/2025) to the building permit office and asked how long does it typically take to get a permit - they responded 1-3 days, but around the holidays could be more like 2-5. I asked the status of my permit and they told me it had been approved on 1/3/2025 - no contact to me. I also asked the permitting office when the permit was originally submitted and they told me that it wasn't submitted until the 13th of December - so they waited 10 days before submitting the paperwork. I gave them the rest of the day to reach out and contacted Jose on 1/7/2025 to ask the status (again, I have to contact them) and he states that it is approved and I am scheduled for the 21st of January.
Issue #2: Jose provides a "what to know before you start" document and in it there it states if you have a pool you need to let the foreman know so he can cover it. The day arrives and the foreman I was expecting, Jesus, was not here but another person, Bruno, was. So I walk the property with Bruno - pointing out the pool and the area where I take my dogs out, etc. Bruno says he will cover the pool (this is about 8am after they arrived). I go back inside to work and almost immediately I hear people on the roof starting to rip it down, and I see no one covering the pool. About 1.5 hrs go by and suddenly I see two people in the backyard attempting to cover the pool. By this time, shingles and nails had already fallen in the pool. They cover the pool about halfway to catch most of whatever else would fall throughout the day. 2nd and final day arrives and I send an email to the office asking that someone either clean the nails and shingles out of the pool or I get a discount so I can pay someone else to fish it all out. One of the laborers on site, Erwin, takes it upon himself before he leaves at the end of the day to jump into the water (<50 degrees) and manually retrieve all the pieces. I didn't need it to be perfect, just to fish out any nails and large shingle pieces. At this point I am satisfied, however I get an email the next day stating that the shingles and nails were already in the pool due to the winds we experienced the day before - and Jose provides a 3 second video clip of the guys who showed up 1.5 hrs late to cover it. So they would provide no assistance. I didn't expect anything else at this point as it had already been taken care of but I also did not expect for them to attempt to lie to me about it. There was dust and leaves in the pool from the wind (it definitely wasn't perfectly clean) but it absolutely did not have shingles and nails in it - otherwise Bruno who originally walked it with me could have stated that fact.
Overall I feel like the work was good, I haven't seen any leaks - but the communication and and trustworthiness of the office would not be something I would have someone else go through.

The company is licensed and insured. They are knowledgeable and work well with the customer. Their price is right and certainly is commensurate to their experience, work and quality product.

The 3rd party they used for the portapotty came at 10:30pm and got my gate motor stuck by trying to force it open which i had to troubleshoot after. I also found around 10 nails on the property while cleaning up the following week.

They were very efficient and helpful!! They did an amazing job!

CRS got the job done nicely and in a timely manner, and they met my expectations. Admittedly, since I understand the trades and their work, I'm usually quite critical of contractors, but I'm pleased with the end result of this job.

From estimate to completion it all went smoothly. Any questions I had were answered, the crew worked hard and was able to complete the work in half the estimated time. Outside clean up was great and the crew even cleaned up in the garage when they retrieved their extension chord. The AC unit was covered to protect it from debris. The roof looks great!

It started with Leo. He came out to give us a quote. I had already met with 2 other roofing companies. Leo demonstrated vast knowledge, He was thorough in his explanations and had excellent communication skills in answering my questions.
