M.M.J. McLean, VA Review Aug 04, 2011 5 star rating
Robinson and Thayer, Inc.

Stuart did excellent work for our family on three different projects, including an outdoor pavilion with a stone fireplace, a major renovation of the house and a separate carriage house. He can do anything. We would hire him again in a heartbeat.

We feel exceptionally fortunate to have had a positively professional experience with Robinson and Thayer Custom Builders. We would use the company again if we ever need the services of a custom builder. I have recommended him to a few people already. We continue to intrude on his personal time as a resource for professional services in our community.

Comment Area Of Satisfaction Vienna, VA Jan 08, 2011

The level and frequency of honest communication. The patience with clients who sometimes changed directions without warning. And the respect the company garnered from all sub-contractors, and ,in turn, the respect that was always shown to us as clients.

Comment Additional Comment McLean, VA Dec 29, 2010

Again, Stuart was the best. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with him.

Stuart Thayer was fantastic, and still is. I would recommend him and his company at ANY point in time.

Comment Additional Comment Centreville, VA Dec 18, 2010

I was very satisfied with their work. I had been through a comparable project with a different contractor a few years ago and this experience was much better. Stuart Thayer is very responsible and does what he says he will.

They did what they promised they would do, they responded quickly to concerns

Stuart Thayer is terrific. he stands behind his work and his people do an exceptional job as well. I could give numerous examples of where he saved us from making poor decisions. He communicates very well and and always follows through. He also had a great carpenter whose name I can't recall who was both very good and also creative at finding ways to imrpove on our plan.

Comment Additional Comment McLean, VA Nov 06, 2010

I have met and worked with other contractors and he is clearly the most professional one. I have recommended him several times and would be a reference for him anytime. The best example is that he still responds to minor problems I have (something breaks, dry wall work, etc) after having built my house 10 years ago.

About GuildQuality and our Guildmembers

Homebuilders, remodelers, real estate developers and home services companies pay GuildQuality for customer surveying and performance reporting. We refer to these companies as GuildQuality Members, Guildmembers, or members.

Our service helps Guildmembers monitor customer satisfaction and -- if they choose to publish survey feedback on our public website at guildquality.com -- articulate the quality of their service for prospective customers.

All of the Guildmember information we publish at guildquality.com has been provided to us either by the member (such as pictures of work and biographical information) or by their customers via one of our surveys (customer comments, performance summaries, and reviews).

Surveys, Comments and Reviews

All of the customer feedback that we publish is derived from the customers we survey. Our Guildmembers provide us with their customers' contact information, we conduct the surveys, they receive the feedback, and -- if they have chosen to make their feedback public -- the member's performance report is automatically updated to reflect the response. Members may choose to publish a summary of either all of their feedback or their most recent twelve months of feedback.

In addition to average performance ratings and survey statistics, GuildQuality also publishes two types of customer commentary: Comments and Reviews.

A comment has been provided by a survey respondent in response to any one of the survey questions we ask, and a member may or may not choose to publish it. Often customers provide unsolicited testimonials or compliments, and members can choose to share these comments in their published performance report.

Many Guildmembers choose to participate in our formal review process. These members have added an additional question on their survey: "If you'd like to provide a public review of your experience working with the Guildmember, please share it here." In contrast to comments, which a member selects to have published, we publish all reviews, provided they are at least 30 words long. With each review, we include a one to five star rating provided by the survey respondent.

Important Information about choosing a Builder, Remodeler, or Contractor

We make no predictions, warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, about the quality of any work a company on this website may provide. Prospective customers should weigh a multitude of factors when choosing the right building company, and never depend on a single source when making their decision to purchase a home or hire a contractor.
