We have had Harth Builders finish our basement, install windows and install new porch railings. Our first two experiences were excellent. The third turned out well with a couple of bumps along the way. However, everything was resovled in a positve manner. I think we could have had a little better communication at the very beginning and avoided some confusion and frustration on our part. On past projects, I felt that I had really good communication with the staff. On this project, I felt we had a little bit of a break down in communication with the project coordinator. We encountered a problem on the first day with how the existing porch was built. In the end, the issue was resolved but communication could have been better. I was a little disappointed in the painter. We had started to paint our shudders and then realized we needed help. Jeremy said that the painter would clean up anything that we did that did not look quite right (we are definitely not professional painters). I appreciated this, however, the painter did not really clean up our mistakes and did not take off some left over tape that we had not removed. He seemed irritated that he would have to do this so I told him not to worry about it This is really not that big of a deal but when you expect something to happen and then it does not, it is disappointing.The Harth staff was very courteous and professional. - Aug 25, 2009 in Doylestown, PA
