Jim Kabel, owner of Case San Jose, was inspired to start his business based on personal experience. His frustration with the lack of professional interest in smaller projects at his own home drove him to retire from high tech and open Case Handyman and Remodeling. Jim spent 25 years at HP and Agilent in sales, marketing, and field service management and wanted to bring the same level of responsiveness and client care to home improvement here. Many homeowners are tired of searching for a professional remodeler who will take on all sizes of projects from small repairs to kitchen and bath remodels. And Case has the right model to do this with a high level of guaranteed quality.
Case is very process-oriented. From design consultation to documentation through project planning, scheduling, and management, we follow steps that enable us to exceed our clients expectations. We schedule on-time appointments and provide free consultations with a dedicated team of remodeling sales consultants. To enable us to perform a wide range of projects for our clients, we hire security-cleared, experienced craftsmen with a broad variety of experience in residential remodeling and repairs. We only use high quality, licensed and insured subcontractors and suppliers with a strong track record of customer service. We also back our work with a 2-year warranty. And we're a part of Case, one of the premier organizations in residential remodeling in the U.S.
We're very proud of the client satisfaction levels that we achieved. We've earned Diamond Certification in two categories for five consecutive years and we are highly rated on Angie's List, winning the coveted Angie's List "Super Service" Award in 2007 and 2008. I worked most with Mike Brennan, Adam, and Jeanie and they were just awesome.
I thought Mike was pretty good. I have to say, they did a lot more than originally quoted but for the same price. I was pretty happy with that. They didn't change it too much. Mike was pretty stellar.
Not at this point, but I would contact them if I have work to be done in future.
Ramona Tan is an exceptionally gifted interior designer! She really tuned into our aesthetic preferences and designed terrific kitchen and bathroom spaces for us. Adam Engel is a terrific lead carpenter. He is courteous, smart and hard-working.
This questionnaire did not ask about our designer, Kristie Mendenhall. She did an excellent job of listening to our needs and suggestions, and following up effectively.
Case Design/Remodeling of San Jose
Our experience working with Case Design/Remodeling is that we had two projects done. The first one was larger than this one. We were happy with the results both times. We are not at all disappointed in any job.
I would like to recognize Glenn, Ronogas and the person who did the bathroom floor at Case Design/Remodeling for their exceptional service. They did an excellent job.
I would recommend everyone. They were all so great. They always responded to emails.
Chip was helpful and professional throughout the project.
Cabinet work by Jay were outstanding and his attention to making sure everything was perfect during installation.
Mike Brennan and the rest of the Case Design/Remodeling staff and crew were great. This was one of the few projects I've undergone that had no problems.
I would like to recognize Aaron Burgh for his exceptional service.
Glen Tirado is who I'd like to recognize for his service.
I would like to recognize Romana, Chip and the subcontractor Jay (sub contractor from Mountain Valley Cabinets) was wonderful.
They actually came a little early for the job.

We think Case Design/Remodeling are all wonderful people. Easy to deal with and easy to have in our home. We have enjoyed them and are quite happy with the results. We will be planning a kitchen next!

Case Design/Remodeling was very professional and completed everything in a timely manner. The tile installer was so good, it doesn't even look like anything had to be taken apart and put back together. It's absolutely fabulous.
I would say the tile guy. I don't know his name, but he was phenomenal.
