1. Safety Feature Suggestion (Screen Door):
I strongly recommend that Red Door include a front screen or storm door as a standard option or include it in a basic safety package. In my opinion, a screen door is a necessary, standard safety feature that provides an essential layer of protection and distance when interacting with strangers or solicitors at the front entrance. I believe this should be readily available for all builds.

2. Option Pricing and Affordability:
I was significantly disappointed by the pricing of customization options. Specifically, I requested adding a stone base column to the front porch to visually complement the stone veneer water table. I was quoted an additional $1,645.

This price point felt excessive for a relatively simple architectural accent. When every minor feature is itemized at a high cost, the affordability advantage of the base home quickly erodes, making simple aesthetic additions prohibitively expensive for budget-conscious buyers. I urge Red Door to review the pricing structure for minor, yet impactful, upgrades like stone columns to remain competitive.

Samantha and Logan were very helpful. Samantha was more than helpful and very patient with us through the process. Logan helped us in the beginning which made us feel comfortable with our decision to build our dream home. It was a pleasure working with them both.

Communication between the rotating builder contact was terrible. Cheap contractors who don’t care about about how it looks or works. Even the touch ups were bad. Left stains all over the carpet. The “cleaners” they hired did absolutely nothing but sweep the floor. I spent 2 days cleaning up after them. The AC unit went out the first night I stayed the night. The plumbing was stopped up from someone flushing paper towels down the toilet. The hot water stopped working. Would not recommend this builder to anyone

They say what they’re going to do, and then do what they said they would. Excellent customer service and support. There are always going to be a few things with a new home that need attention, but Red Door has been very good about addressing these issues. My builder went above and beyond to help us out even 5 months after construction was completed.

We had a lot of problems getting contractors to show up when they are supposed to and to do their job correctly the first time. Their quality of work has been less than poor at times. One contractor I would not allow back on the property due to poor workmanship and when asked to come fix it he did more damage than before and even stole some building materials. The inability of any contractor to pick up after themselves is amazing except for the porter potty company has been very good at keeping that thing maintained. I have spent hours cleaning up trash, picking up nails, chasing blowing trash around neighbors property. I have had to spend a lot of time getting the contractors to live up to even Red Door standards and I know my standards are even higher. Red Door and I have talking to some contractors on the work that needs to be done and they do what they want to do and then they have to come back again to fix it just slowing thing down. This has been a tough build I know but we went with Red Door because they said they built quality houses. We are slowly getting there After over 200 days of building but I still do not know if it will be done this week. I could go on but in short this has been not the easy process.

The communication I receive from Red Door is unparalleled.
