I had a very bad problem with water damage in the front of my house. It was a very difficult project and they did a great job figuring out what needed to be done. They did a great job at matching the rest of my house so I didn't have to redo the whole thing.
I was REALLY impressed with the quality of both the product and service. Anthony was SUPER nice!
Polar Bear is a great company to work with, the sales person who came out answered all my questions and concerns with the process of of the job and the materials to be to be used.
My entire experience with Polar Bear has been absolutely fantastic! From my initial conversation with Roger to plan the replacement and expansion, through the logistics and designs with Joe, and ending with the actual deck removal and construction with Jonathan, every step has been phenomenal.Replacing a deck is no small project, and the plan for our deck was to create the deck we really wanted to enjoy for the next 20 years and beyond – a goal that matches perfectly with the services Polar Bear provides. Reviewing the features we were looking for and the wonderful material and design options with Roger and Joe, we quickly settled on a replacement plan that expanded our deck using low-maintenance, durable Azek decking materials. Polar Bear made the planning and design process painless for us: they engaged professional services on our behalf to handle the formal designs and create plans, handled the permitting with the city, and communicated with us for small design changes and adjustments. The deck project was expertly coordinated to occur alongside our siding replacement, providing both projects with maximum access to the superstructure of the house. As the siding project progressed, the old deck was cleanly removed (old footings and all) and Jonathan and his deck crew started lining up the new footing locations and the levels at which the deck would align with doorways. Even in this very early construction phase, the attention to details was astounding. Jonathan and his crew spent a few days carefully planning the locations and alignment of the new deck footings, ensuring they were all perfectly aligned and level. Even more impressively, they very quickly identified and resolved a rather unique challenge of our deck project: we have three doors with access to the deck and each is at a slightly different level (due to the way the house settled over the years). Jonathan came up with a very good plan that aligned one of the doors perfectly with the deck while keeping the other two doors very nearly level (introducing a barely-noticeable step); he kept us aware of the challenges and solution, giving us lots of opportunities to ask questions and – possibly most importantly – ensuring that we were aware of the expected results (which were awesome!).Once the footings were in place, the support beams were attached quite promptly afterward, and aligned with computer-like precision – Jonathan and his crew spent a fair amount of time with alignment strings to ensure that all the beams and supports were in the same plane. The line of support beams is aligned so perfectly that it’s almost surreal. It’s not often that one can say the underside of their deck is as tour-worthy as the top side, but the effort put into the support structure of this deck makes it a must-see for our visitors. The installation of the deck materials zipped along with impressive efficiency and precision. I frequently observed the whole crew working in a very efficient pipeline, measuring, cutting, and placing boards at quite a quick pace. In no time at all, they were placing the final glass panels for the railing. Once again, the small details made the final results all the more impressive: Jonathan and the crew went to the trouble of ensuring the tempered glass stamps were all oriented in the same position of the railings, creating a very clean and uniform appearance. And at every step of the way, Jonathan and his crew were just as excited to be building this amazing deck as I was to watch it come to life. The final result is an absolutely awe-inspiring deck that exceeded even my expectations, which is quite impressive given the high (and achievable) expectations we already had throughout the process. Every small detail, corner, junction, brace, and joint was perfectly placed and constructed. I’m now the proud owner of a durable, low-maintenance deck that I’ll be able to enjoy for more than a few decades. As a pleasant bonus, Polar Bear and KOMO4 News even aired a story on the transformation: http://seattlerefined.com/the-home/polar-bear-exterior-solutions-can-transform-your-home-from-so-so-to-show-stopper.
We have had a wonderful, professional, and quality experience from the time we had our sales visit until the time we signed off on our project.
Our experience with Polar Bear for siding, roofing, decks, garage door and windows was great. They were wonderful folks to work with, all installers were super competent, polite and courteous.
The work they did was great, just more expensive than I was looking to pay.
They were excellent and thorough in every respect. They did a very good job, I would highly recommend them.
I had other work done by other companies and it was terrible, but when they came, I was in heaven. I was in heaven with everything that they did on my house. When my house was done, I just couldn't believe it. It was perfect. Everything is beautiful. I did a yelp review for them also.
The work crews showed exceptional attention to the work. The siding installers did a great job. They took a day longer than necessary because the siding crew had to come back and redo some work. They should have installed the windows first then did the siding.
The crew worked until after dark and did an amazing job!
My house looks amazing. I wish I could include pictures of before and after. Before my house was a late 1980's gray vinyl sided home with cracks and just plan gloomy. Now all my neighbors have commented on how my house looks like a new home. We love it. Also, this was no small job. It cost over $70,000 and was worth every penny. Polar Bear people know I am "thrifty" so I don't say that easily. One of the things that stands out about this company is that they were constantly having to come up with solutions as my house is a custom home on a hillside with a number of different roof lines. Once they got into the job they realized that at every junction they had to think outside the box. They never complained but rather saw it as a challenge and enhanced the final look of the house with their creativity. They were always polite, professional and respectful of their environment while "living" in our environment for the weeks of our major rehab.
I thought they did a very professional job. Getting the job started took a while, but once it started it went very smoothly. I thought they were fair with it, and everyone was professional and did a great job. When I came home and saw the siding for the first time, I thought to myself that I can't do it that well, and that it was perfect and beautiful.
We are pleased with the work that was done by Polar Bear Energy Solutions.
Anybody that has Polar Bear Energy Solutions makes a great choice because they have some of the best workers out there. They are the greatest!
The work was fast, efficient, and they listen and do the changes quickly and professionally.
We already recommended the company to someone on our street.
They were very attentive and they were able to fulfill the request I had. They were very concerned that every detail was taken care of. They took a lot of pride in what they were doing. Everyone I met was great to work with with and had great personalities.
I'm very pleased with the work that was done.
Love the product, the crew was awesome when they were here working. The only draw back was the timeframe to get the materials supplied! Otherwise everything is great and we love the siding!
When the workers removed the old siding from our chimney, we realized that the house builder did not put siding on my chimney. Polar energy put plywood on my chimney w/o charging me-it was very nice of them!
I believe Polar Bear is committed to provide great service, but may not be working effectively together within the organization. This leaves me with a feeling of uncertainty for successful outcomes and a hesitancy to recommend the company.
They were very efficient.
I would never recommend anyone.
There is no communication between departments and your questions and concerns are never passed along as you are passed from representative to representative. Our siding project was a disaster. It was subcontracted out and the workmanship was trash. New siding was installed over rotten wood and eventually had to be redone after we made countless phone calls to let Polar Bear know that the subcontractors were not doing what was asked of them. After weeks of complaining about this the subcontractors were removed from the job and a lot of our home had to be redone. Buyer be ware on this one. They are very expensive. We chose them because they are a James Hardy preferred contractor. Save your money and hire someone else you will probably get better service.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Polar Bear Exterior Solutions as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
