We wouldn't recommend this company to anyone-Period! The harassment that went on over their wording of the contract first telling us that we didn't need a 'permit' to us researching the issue at hand, found that they redone our deck against the codes in our area, thus we ended up having to get a permit. The code states that no threshold is to be over 1/2" they made ours 3.5" then- 6" out to the end of the flooring and down to the first step was another 6" and the whole deal was because my wife has MS and could not maneuver her footing that far. Also the door wasn't even centered with our steps off the deck the deck is at least 4'+ off the ground. Of course the step issue was addressed by the building inspector as to having the steps meet the deck itself, Patio Enclosures statement to us is "we don't do steps and if you want the problem fixed you will have to pay $13,000.00 to have it done, this would of been over the price of $13,000.00 for the deck which absurd. So we had to have new steps made and centered to meet with the threshold and that ran us $1150.00 After that we finally got a glass piece that went in next to the steps that Patio Enclosures said they thought was a hazard that someone could walk out and fall off the deck, yet the MS issue wasn't any issue to them. So the bottom line is they are telling ppl 'no permit' is required and then after the work is done and researched -finding out that they are going against codes in areas of construction ends up costing more money for the consumer (us) as they tried to make us pay another $13,000.00 to have it done right...we reneged. What we think should of been done or made right? They should of corrected their error and or since I've already sent a check for $7000.00 they should of adjusted the price for the money over the top of the issue. I have until 4/13/26 to pay the rest of the money for I am on a deferred tax payment plan. They have done nothing to help us out financially it was all their error and a conceiving way to make more money.
My experience with patio enclosures was definitely not a pleasant one. A lot of delays and accusations towards me as a customer, when it was their company that was making all of the mistakes. It took over 5 months to get my enclosure finished. They mismeasured 3 times, manufactured products that did not fit twice and all along demanding their money for a completed room that was still completely open and exposed on one side to the outdoors and elements for 5 months. They place the blame on everyone but themselves missing completion dates and manufacturing products that were measured countless times and still made wrong. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Pictures with time stamps available and of wrong product available for anyone who wants to see them.
