Install was quick and easy to schedule, but there was a trail of cement through our driveway to our water spigot where there was a pile of sand and cement left in the grass/rocks. We had to have people come back twice to seal a crack in the floor off of the sump pump and the 2nd time to seal the holes left in the walls with foam since the first technician wasn't aware he was suppose to do both things. Since then, I've added more silicone around the lid since it's not completely sealed and our radon mitigation system and drawing air through it. Overall, it's all minor stuff, but it's just a pain to keep dealing with after you think the job is complete.
I hired NBS to insulate the crawlspace below a room on the first floor of my house. The space was tight and awkward to work in. But starting with Scott Callaway in Sales to Angel and Gerald who installed the insulation, the company did a superb job. They were a pleasure to work with. Scott, Angel and Gerald are great ambassadors for the company. And the price was fair for such quality workmanship. I heartily recommend them.
Basement Systems LLC was very professional!
Work scheduled for March22
The workers were not skilled. I had to have someone come back after the basement window installation. They didn't seal around the windows so I could see straight outside. They left foam insulation all over the house, including in my kitchen, on doors, on floors. The windows had huge plumes of the foam sticking out, because they apparently put too much in and left before it expanded. I finally gave up on them mortaring correctly. I will fix that myself. When my dehumidifier was installed, the estimate included putting a hole through the foundation to drain the water. I suggested when the installer came putting the drain hose into the place where the laundry drains. He was able to, easily, yet no change was made to the installation cost. This was not offered by the person initially, and then not changed on installation. They were more of a headache than a help, and I felt I couldn't walk away from the workers at all or they would mess something up. Totally unreliable.
They did a very good job!
I have utilized Northeast Basement three times and would recommend them highly. Had a few issues but they were corrected immediately or in a timely fashion. They are an excellent company. Their flooring is excellent and the Dehumidifier was the best ever. I said was because I moved into a new home. They instruct you in what is the best for your needs and not necessarily what you want as that may not work the best for you or your needs. I trusted the experts and was not disappointed in any way.
Very detailed estimate
This was a challenging project and NBS stayed with it to get to a good result. There were bumps in the road. When digging the sump pump pit, the workers hit ground water but did not say anything. As a result, when the system went live, simultaneous with a 3" rain, it was pumping massive amounts of water even though the final drains had not been installed, resulting in hundreds of gallons of water threatening the basement. Once this issue was confronted, NBS reset the sump pump at a slightly higher elevation and provided a higher hp pump to move the water. The workers worked hard and appear to have done good quality work and were well organized.
They were professional, communicative, and on time.
I would definitely recommend Northeast Basement systems to any friends and family. They were very timely and explained everything to the fullest. The sales rep and the workers were very polite and and very clean. They do an outstanding job
The job did not go as smoothly as expected.
This has been a great experience from the initial contact, job estimate, through installation of the dual sumps. The guys showed up early and we're very respectful of us and our property. I would highly recommend them for all your basement/waterproofing needs
The technician that came was knowlegeable of the product and the sales guy knew his stuff. I would highly recommend them and their customer service is great.
I felt that the salesman was very informed and put me at ease as far as solving my problem!
I had some complaints about the installation and no on responded. I have reached out to the salesperson for help and he has yet to respond. He only cares about the sale and not the customer.
Everything is great!
I am mostly happy with the work, except it took longer than they said it would, and the pump system was not really explained to me. They did not even plug the pumps and backup pump in. I did not notice this until days after they left. It seemed like they were in a hurry to leave on the last day. Also, they did not come until later in the morning, and left earlier than I expected. Instead of being there 1 day as was expected, they were there 3 days.
Yes, I am happy with how everything turned out in my basement. It is quite an improvement.
I would absolutely recommend these guys. They displayed a solid work ethic and were pleasant and polite to deal with.
We can’t compliment NE Basement systems high enough for the job they did on our basement. From the get go and meeting Scott (sale representative) Callaway we knew after meeting with two other companies - Scott knew what he was doing and the plan to waterproof our basement was the most comprehensive and surprisingly was not the most expensive. We also had an issue with time as our house was being renovated and the water issue needed to be taken care of immediately. The work crew that installed the basement were friendly and conscientious and did a terrific job.
Mark Milone came out after the basement system was installed and walked us through the system, maintenance and things to look out for and spotted an issue (not NE basement doing that occurred during renovations that could have been a big issue) that we had corrected and Mark had Corey come out and check the system and everything was great.
I highly recommend NE basement system!
The company followed through to my satisfaction and got the job done.
Northeast Basement was quick to respond to my call, worked with me on my needs for my crawlspace, and provided some insight and ideas for future waterproofing projects. They were also quick to schedule.
I was very happy with the results of my waterproofing. I do not know why I waited so long to fix the problem in my basement. No one actually wants to manually pump out their basements ! I am very pleased with the results and the cost
This company damaged my home, never completed the job, and were so unprofessional they left crap (literally!) in my driveway. Their boss makes them go to the bathroom in the back of the truck so don't ask what they're doing back there. They weren't wearing masks unless the boss showed up even when the dust was thick from jack hammering so you can here then coughing and spitting in the basement. Every day windows and doors were left open and unlocked in December in New Hampshire. When they were supposed to come back to fix the things they thought were unsatisfactory and finish the things still unfinished the job was put on hold by me due to COVID restrictions. They had no concerns about COVID and insisted I didn't need to be present but because of the things mentioned trust in their quality of work is none existent. Don't trust your home to these people!
