Mastercraft Exteriors did an excellent job of replacing our roofs, gutters, and skylight due to hail damage. They were helpful from start to finish. We have not found a single nail in the gardens, and we heard no music being played while the work was done. Very unusual and commendable.

The work was supposed to be completed in about 30 days. Seven months later I'm still waiting for the job to be completed. They were able to put the new roof on in about 90 days before winter fully set in - gutters took months more. They did not complete the job to all specifications and therefore have offered rebates, but frankly I would have preferred to get what was originally specified.

I had observed the workmanship and materials from other projects that Mastercraft Exteriors had worked on within the community. That was the reason why I decided to use them for my project.
Areas Of Satisfaction - I would say it would probably be the salesman's initial no pressure sales pitch. I told them about what I needed and asked them how it can be handled. Other companies out there, are high pressure. The salesman was very knowledgeable about materials and the different options. He explained it very well. I will say, that that part of my experience was very good.

Mastercraft Exteriors caught my attention when a field rep., Josiah, came to our home. He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Then, he was assigned to the mid-West, and I decided, because of him, to go with Mastercraft as the company which would replace our hail-damaged roofs on garage and our home, and to also replace the front siding on garage and home, damaged by the hailstorm of Aug. 4, 2015.After the homeowners insurance company sent its appraisal, I contacted Mastercraft, and soon a roofing crew was scheduled to arrive, once the shingles had arrived. Unfortunaely, it was only after several delays and postponements that the materials arrived and the roofing crew arrived.. The crew did as far as I can tell, a decent job, but left dozens of nails on our lawn, in downspouts, and on our DRIVEWAY. After one flat tire, due to a roofing nail, after picking up dozens of nails, I contancted the project manager who came out with a magnetized roller to pick up the nails. We are still finding nails, after several months.As for the siding, Chris Green came out to seal the deal. He was pleasant, patient, and efficient, and promised that the job would be done by Thanksgiving (this promise was given in September). But Mastercraft could not meet this deadline until well into December. Furthemore, the siding replacement job took numerous days, and we had to keep an eye on what was being done. Panels of siding were not alternated properly so that we have a long seam on the front of our home. Worse, in the past month, the framing of our garage door, both rubber/plastic and some metal too have peeled away from the frame--a tacky mess. In short, a very sloppy siding job was done. After two weeks trying to contact Chris Green by email and also our project manager, I finally did get the latter to answer the phone. Ted is a very pleasant person who has tried hard to help us in the past, but who seems to be so overworked that he cannot give us the service we would have expected. We are currently waiting for someone to come and re-do the frame of our large garage door. More details of poor workmanship could be mentioned, but I will forego such a litany.

The salesperson was very knowledgable (Marc Gonzalez), however within 2 weeks of signing the contract with MasterCraft, both he and his manager (Terry) left Mastercraft. I have left several messages via telephone AND email for documentation AFTER Mastercraft was paid in full and still have NOT received any response (INCLUDING not receiving any WARRANTY Paperwork). Also - I had to get MULTIPLE notarized copies of paperwork for my mortgage company because the Mastercraft personnel that was listed on them was no longer with Mastercraft - we had at least 3 Mastercraft personnel that was on our project quit employment from Mastercraft during our project.I Found LOTS of debris all around my yard after the crew left the final day - This INCLUDED cigarette butts, and my family does not smoke.Mastercraft ordered the incorrect materials and inspected them once they arrived - Mastercraft realized on installation day (many weeks after initially told install would happen) that the wrong siding was ordered and therefore needed to reorder the correct siding and reschedule the installation for yet another day. The initial contract was signed on 7/24/15 and the project was completed on 1/22/15. This contract was for about $12,000 and was for existing roofing materials (shingles) to be removed, new shingles to be installed and one side of a house to be resided (from storm damage).I feel that with the amount of money i paid, I should have gone through another company to get better service and less staff turnover. Also, it was like pulling teeth to get things done.I would NOT recommend Mastercraft to anyone!
