It's a great organization. They communicated very well, and the workmanship is the highest quality.

The quality of the deck is outstanding and I don't have any issues with it at all. The surface of the supporting poles is my only issue. It may be how they come. I don't know. The surface is rough. It is outstanding otherwise.

My home was needing the front porch and deck redone in which we decided on composite for both. Mark Hicks was the one and only company to come out right away to give me a quote. Mark the owner was the one to come out and was very thorough and knowledgeable. I was waiting to get a few more quotes to see which company we wanted to go with. But I was very impressed with Mark off the bat that I knew we wanted to use his company. They started a month after I signed the contract and finished the job in one week. Fixed my front porch, put composite on, and same with my deck. Very impressed with his workers and how hard working they were. There from 7:30 until about 5/5:30 every day. This company has been in business for 40+ years, and you can tell. Very happy with everything.

We are so happy with the deck and covered porch that Mark Hicks built for us, it's absolutely beautiful and better than I imagined it would be. We had stairs added to our existing deck. The crew did a fine job and stayed at it working without any delays. We are very happy with the appearance and the structure of our deck addition.

We had some particular issues and had to keep the rails in place when the flooring was being done because the railing was difficult to take apart and put back. About five contractors either refused or threw their hands up like they couldn't do it that way. Mark Hicks said no problem, and the lead construction guy had no problem with it at all. Several other things needed to be critically thought about, and they were able to do what others couldn't.

Working with the Hicks group was easy and straight forward. From the initial quoting through the final steps, everyone was pleasant and willing to answer questions or concerns. From the office to the crew, or made the project easy.

They were wonderful. They came in, got it done, and fixed the problem we were having. The guys doing the work were on time every day. They didn't mess around. They promised I would feel safe with my grandkids on the deck, and I do. The ladies in the office were so helpful. I had to get permits and my house plans. She took care of it for me. Everything went so smooth and easy. It was the easiest construction job I have ever done in my life. We are definitely very happy.

Absolutely one of the best contractors (Deck or otherwise) that i have ever worked with. Very attentive to customer service and to getting it right. Fairly priced and very organized and honest about timelines. They get back to you very quickly regarding your proposal or with any modifications you make. It is much harder to rehab a deck than to build a new one. I only wish they did kitchens and baths!
