I thought that they were very easy to work with. Their initial communication, technical layout, and pricing scheme were all easy to understand and clear. During the job itself, some of the project managers were a bit hard to reach, but I think that was just due to having a lot of projects going on at once. However, the job itself, which is the most important, seems to be professionally done. I like the way it looks, and everything went smoothly.

There are two things I would recommend in the winter months having your personnel work when it’s dark out was problematic for me. I was concerned for their safety, and I questioned the quality of work that could be done in the dark. The second thing is since it is winter, I expected that there would be a decrease in icicle formation on my roof since it is new and insulation was added. Not sure what the problem is.

After speaking with several trustworthy people who had roofs replaced, I have come to believe that only the most expensive option was given to me on my roofing, insulation and gutter project. Most people with whom I have spoken concerning the cost of these projects report the job was way overpriced and that i was duped - most possibly because I was an older single woman. When the project cost was presented, ($49,100 + for a 1 story, approx, 2100 sq ft home,) I was very shocked but no less expensive alternatives were offered. In addition, I wasn't told where air vents for the roof would be placed which was about 2/3 to 3/4 down on each outer side which changed the overall aesthetic of the beautiful multi-colored shingles. Also, I was informed that the insulation would be installed on Thursday but they didn't come until Friday which was only a minor inconvenience. Those things aside, workers arrived pretty much on time, were both friendly and efficient, the work done was of great quality and performed in an extremely accurate and promised time frame. Additionally, they did a good job cleaning up after themselves with few exceptions; some roofing nails found around the perimeter of house and in the driveway and gutter clips found in places that were harder to reach areas such as between shrubs/bushes. .

No, the tactics of the person managing the crews were not professional

I felt bullied by the high pressure sales technique utilized by your representative. I did not want to make the loan he suggested but I felt trapped by him. I deeply regret making that loan and agreeing to have the work done. I did not like the experience at all.

I would highly recommend this company!! Honestly I am blown away by every encounter I had from beginning to end. The process was seamless and effortless on my part and the work done turned out great!!! Thank you again!

I would be hard pressed to recommend Home Genius because of the issues I had communicating with them to resolve issues. It took two months to replace my window that was broken by the siding installer.

They delivered on their promises

I appreciated the 12 step process of protecting your roof from leaking from the weather. The service was quick, but I watched the process-The workers were diligent and conscientious of their work. They did a very good clean up and my whole process of removing the old shingles, installing the weather proofing, the new roof, & clean up was done in one day. I was also surprised to see and learn about the ventilation channels that flow upward from the bottom of the roof, up under the shingles and out of the top of the new vent boxes on the top of the roof-these were installed on all sides of the roof! It helps keeps the roof & house dry and cooler in the summer!

The dumpster was left in the driveway for 6 days after the work was completed. The ‘project manager’ called the night before to advise the roof was to be put on the next day, and even asked if the number he called was also the number he could text for updates, I said yes. He never texted or called or anything. I had somebody else text and ask if the roof was done. I said yes. That’s it? That’s all the communication I get? What about the extra particle board? Did they use it? Where there any issues? Complete lack of customer service in my mind. Grab the money and get the **** out.

I felt Home Genius Exteriors did a nice job. I see other roofs being done in my area and they do not come close to the job that I had done.

The entire crew was hardworking, even when the job lasted longer than predicted… 12 hours! It became awkward, however that none of them spoke English! They needed an outside electrical outlet and it was a challenge to communicate! That felt unfair to both homeowner and crew. At the very least, the crew should be given a sheet of paper with frequent questions that they could point at for the homeowner to read!

I was told the dumpster would be removed in the next day or two. I texted the project manager after several days and got no response. After 10 days, I called the dumpster company myself and ask them to remove it. It had blocked my driveway for 10 days and killed the grass under it.

Everything from scheduling to execution went as planned. The process was very efficient and they kept me informed.
