The dumpster was left in the driveway for 6 days after the work was completed. The ‘project manager’ called the night before to advise the roof was to be put on the next day, and even asked if the number he called was also the number he could text for updates, I said yes. He never texted or called or anything. I had somebody else text and ask if the roof was done. I said yes. That’s it? That’s all the communication I get? What about the extra particle board? Did they use it? Where there any issues? Complete lack of customer service in my mind. Grab the money and get the **** out.

Darren frequently checked on the installation and was transparent with his communications concerning the project.
The staff was diligent, the work flow was consistent and precautions were taken to protect the grounds and areas surrounding the project area.

Terrible workmanship, sloppy on both tear offs . Damaged preexisting fascia, terrible installation of front gutter guards

No one onsite spoke English.

Sales person lied.

The entire crew was hardworking, even when the job lasted longer than predicted… 12 hours! It became awkward, however that none of them spoke English! They needed an outside electrical outlet and it was a challenge to communicate! That felt unfair to both homeowner and crew. At the very least, the crew should be given a sheet of paper with frequent questions that they could point at for the homeowner to read!

I was told the dumpster would be removed in the next day or two. I texted the project manager after several days and got no response. After 10 days, I called the dumpster company myself and ask them to remove it. It had blocked my driveway for 10 days and killed the grass under it.

Everything from scheduling to execution went as planned. The process was very efficient and they kept me informed.

From the inspection of my roof, through the presentation of options, and all the way through the actual roofing job, the company did a wonderful job with everything.

I’ve already told a lot of people about Home Genius. I’ll recommend them to a lot more people.

I am very satisfied with the outcome. My roof looks very nice. I had some hiccups with the salesman. I was told that the company does not subcontract even after I specifically asked him about it since I had a bad experience with another company that subcontracted. Financing was another glitch I had, I said I could only pay a max of so much and what he came up with was almost 2 times that. Some of the misunderstanding may have been my fault but I was steered in wrong direction. Also I was told that if I didn't take the price I was quoted that it would go up in price, I told him I had others coming for quotes later in the week and I felt pressured to take the deal. I felt it was a great product and warranty but still had my doubts.

Home Genius Exteriors - Pittsburgh was very thorough, fast, and they cleaned up well. However, they do owe me one small thing.

I haven't had the opportunity to get into my attic during a rainstorm to look for leaks ( not easy to do) but when someone came out to interview me after the work was done I pointed to a broken porch light and was told a gift card was to be sent. A month later nothing and things like this concerns me about the company. Also the salesman made a statement my attic fan was not needed and the new vents would correct this issue. I believe the fan runs more than with the old roof?

My project manager was non existent, I don't know if I got what I paid for or not, my gutter still isn't hanging correctly and nobody seems to care

After the project was completed and I signed off, your field rep and project manager did not answer their phones or reply back to my messages. This seems kind-of typical this day and age !!!

They were absolutely amazing. They got here in the morning and were done at four. That was the fastest I have ever seen a company complete a roof. The guys were very professional and amazing.
