The initial work seemed great. We had a new roof and new gutters installed. But the gutters are not working properly and water is pouring off the sides of our house. I’ve called twice to put in a warranty claim and it has been over a month since I first called. No one has come out to inspect or fix the issue. It’s becoming a problem and I’m concerned I may get water infiltrating my home because the gutters are not directing the water away from the house.
No one onsite spoke English.
I feel they were deceptive. They gave us a price, and as it went on, the price went really high. The reason why it went high was because they didn't do the work. They subbed it out to Mexicans, and the Mexicans did the work. They made a profit on someone else.
Sales person lied.
The entire crew was hardworking, even when the job lasted longer than predicted… 12 hours! It became awkward, however that none of them spoke English! They needed an outside electrical outlet and it was a challenge to communicate! That felt unfair to both homeowner and crew. At the very least, the crew should be given a sheet of paper with frequent questions that they could point at for the homeowner to read!
I was told the dumpster would be removed in the next day or two. I texted the project manager after several days and got no response. After 10 days, I called the dumpster company myself and ask them to remove it. It had blocked my driveway for 10 days and killed the grass under it.
Everything from scheduling to execution went as planned. The process was very efficient and they kept me informed.
From the inspection of my roof, through the presentation of options, and all the way through the actual roofing job, the company did a wonderful job with everything.
I’ve already told a lot of people about Home Genius. I’ll recommend them to a lot more people.
I am very satisfied with the outcome. My roof looks very nice. I had some hiccups with the salesman. I was told that the company does not subcontract even after I specifically asked him about it since I had a bad experience with another company that subcontracted. Financing was another glitch I had, I said I could only pay a max of so much and what he came up with was almost 2 times that. Some of the misunderstanding may have been my fault but I was steered in wrong direction. Also I was told that if I didn't take the price I was quoted that it would go up in price, I told him I had others coming for quotes later in the week and I felt pressured to take the deal. I felt it was a great product and warranty but still had my doubts.
