I have four properties across two states, and this is the communicative, on-point company I've ever gotten to deal with. Jericka was the person who I felt met at the front of the house, and I always hate people coming to the front of the house because it was kind of run down, and she was on point and friendly like off the people who have come up to my house. When I talked about doing a follow-up, I met with Val. It was very straightforward. They were direct, and she was thorough. She pointed out certain things about the house, and we set up another meeting after that. I was very upfront with Val and said that I’ve done enough of this and that the company sounds good, but I needed to get other quotes. I went out and got three other quotes and went back and forth a bit with Cut Once Remodeling and another company. The other company had not been around for as long, and Cut Once ended up being better in every regard, from price to expertise, and so I chose them. I think it was about four to six months since I had met Jericka at the house. From that point, there was no hard sales pitch, which is a part of what I really liked about Cut Once. There was once a company that I received a quote from that called me on a weekly basis to ask me if I needed any more information. That was fine the first time, but it was nine times in 2 months, along with emails. Cut Once was low pressure, and when I went with them, they were the most communicative company that I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. This was also a larger crew of about 12 working on different aspects of the project, not all at one time, but I was kept in the loop at all times. There were supervisors and supervisors for the supervisors. I remember getting two calls on one of the project dates when Cut Once was on route to me and blew a tire a couple of exits south. They only showed up an hour or two late and did a great job for that day.

I liked the personal touch, being very nice and explaining things.

They were very businesslike and took care of everything. After installing one of the doors, we noticed the blinds wouldn’t close properly, and they promptly went out and bought extensions so the sliding blinds could open and close smoothly. They went to a little extra effort to make that right. We had two sliding doors and two windows put in, and I was very happy with them.

After the initial meeting and the contract was signed, they always kept me informed, via daily phone calls, about the next procedure. (They replaced rotted wood, power washed my home, then began painting the exterior of my home.)

Roofing estimator quoted us $80000 telling us we needed a new roof ASAP. Got another quote from a different contractor saying we only need $800 worth of repairs.

I recommend Cut Once Remodeling with the reservations that their sales agents are pushy and their services are pricy. But you get top quality materials that are durable and perrform as stated. Namely, the roof and texture coating have noticably cut my heating and cooling bills. Installation is expert and as on-time as possible considering weather, material delivery and crew scheduling.

I think they are very thorough, organized, and knowledgeable. We have had a couple things done by Cut Once Remodeling.

Personally, I don’t like remodeling projects. I don’t like negotiating costs which, to me, always seem extravagant, and I especially don’t like worrying about sloppy workmanship. But it had been long past time to replace our 13 old aluminum-framed, single-pane windows, so there we were. We went with Cut Once Remodeling, and when all was said and done, I am extremely pleased with the results. The new windows improve the appearance of our house outside and make it more comfortable inside. The entire team from COR was professional and courteous; they took no shortcuts. I have to acknowledge that the company isn’t the cheapest option, but to my mind the money was well spent. Everyone associated with COR seems to share an ethos that includes old-school pride in workmanship, honesty, and integrity. I would definitely recommend COR.

The only thing that upset me was that the representative that set my appointment on the phone for the presentation did not know what the work was that I was doing. When they arrived they thought that I was looking to do woodwork. Also, when the guy came to do the presentation I was not aware that it would take 5 hours to do so. The appointment scheduler never told me that it would take that long.
