We have hired Chicagoland Builders for three large projects. They stand behind their excellent work.

First off, I am an architect and construction manager for commercial projects. I understand the general process, but it is very different from the commercial work I do.This endeavor was my first real large residential project. The project was a gut - reno - addition of a 140 yr old frame 2 flat. From the start, finding a contractor that wanted to work with me within my budget and project goals was a serious challenge. Most all others that I contacted either had the attitude that my budget was too low (without even preparing a bid) or that they wouldn't excluded work that I planned on addressing myself or with other resources. Simply all wanted 2x or 4x what CLB quoted. From the get go, Mike and the team know exactly what I wanted to achieve, the quality and the timing goals. They worked with me daily, kept me informed and aware of issues or conflicts that arise on large builds like mine. The effort to keep me informed made the project smooth (as could be!), avoided changes and cost adds and ultimately delivered a finished project inside and out that exceeded my expectations.

The installation crew came up with creative solutions that added to the curb appeal. The crew worked with our roofing contractor so that the siding, and gutters had a seamless fit. Every night the property was left clean and hazard free.

The work was done in a timely manner and the property was always cleared of any debris when the crew left for the day. They were courteous, professional and did excellent work.

I had a great experience with Chicagoland. I interviewed several contractors in the area for installing new siding (Hardie), soffits, fascia, and gutters and wound up choosing Chicagoland based on reputation, referrals, and price. They went above expectations making sure I was happy with the work. Mike was very responsive and easy to work with from the sales side. Their site crew was great to work with, as they not only did great work, but gave their opinion on little decisions that came up during the process on the design/installation. The project manager, Cathy, was also great to work with making sure the project was running to perfection and up to their high quality standards. I would definitely recommend Chicagoland for this type of project. Our house looks great!

Good quality, workmanship, and competitive pricing.

Chicagoland Builders did a beautiful job of installing Hardie siding on my house and garage. The product and results themselves are without complaint. However, the experience of working with them could have been better. They did not always communicate what days they would and wouldn't be working, they did a sub-par job at final clean-up (we're still finding nails and broken off siding) and they damaged my neighbor's property and never informed me about it. Although the finished product looks good and was done at an affordable price the service/experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

The finished product is beautiful, clearly the workers did a nice job. I added things once the job started like windows, gutters and additional trim which will cost extra but so well worth it in my case. Any time you take off old siding for new there will be surprises. Once the job starts, it actually moved along quiet quickly so make sure you are around to ask questions or point things out. They were quite accommodating when something need to be adjusted.

Our experience with Chicagoland Builders was phenomenal. It took us over 2 years to finally decide to move forward with the project, as it was a big $ investment. Chicagoland Builders was the only company that kept in touch with us over that period of time and did not automatically increase the quote just because it was a 'new year' and 'cost of materials' increased (which another well known company tried to tell us). We were added to the schedule immediately and the team worked through the wet spring at every opportunity they could, even if it was only a few hours a day. The quality of work was impeccable and when decisions were required on how to handle flashing installation, the team set it up both ways so it was much easier to make a decision. The only thing I can think of that could be improved upon is the guidance provided in choosing a color. I would have preferred a recommendation or more guidance, as opposed to a list of completed houses to visit that had the colors we were considering. That aside, everyone was professional, polite and thorough. The team did a great job! I would highly recommend working with Chicagoland Builders!

Exceeded expectations. Their price was fair and better than several other estimates. The job began on time and was done in the projected time frame. Foremen Frank and Kathy as well as Poncho the crew lead provided excellent communication with follow up, accompanied by good attitudes. Lap siding seams were well done. Calking was as good as I could hope for. Craftsmanship on details was excellent. Detail follow-up was delayed but they came through.

I would totally recommend Chicagoland Builders. They are very resonable compared to other contractors. They also don't pressure you on their own suggestions like some contractors do.

It took me several years to find the right contractor. Chicagoland Builders (Mike) was right for my job. Other contractors backed away from me because I had a lot of time to be particular about what I wanted. Mike listened and worked well with my being a skeptic. Once the work began, I immediately relaxed and enjoyed that things were progressing nicely. It's still early, and looks beautiful. In 2017 I don't have feedback on how the Hardie will look in 10 years!

I had trouble getting responses and acceptable suggestions from contractors, possibly because it was peak season. Chicagoland came right out, gave me suggestions for changes and even added some improvements that I didn't expect. The workmen were very attentive, doing that little extra at each step. The outcome after remodeling the outside of a 30 year old house was tremendous, we have gotten many many compliments on how new and attractive the house now looks. We are very pleased with the results.
