A1 Home Improvement just finished installing my new roof, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very first meeting, their salesman, Cully Colantino, stood out—professional, friendly, and genuinely committed to making sure I understood all my options. He kept in touch throughout the project and followed up afterward to ensure everything met my expectations.

The installation crew was fantastic. They worked tirelessly in extreme heat and humidity, always remaining courteous and respectful. At one point, my yard was covered with equipment, stacks of materials, and piles of old shingles and sheathing. By the time they were done, it looked like they had never been there at all—my yard was spotless. In fact, the only trace I found was a single nail in a flower bed, which is remarkable given the scale of the work.

The project manager also kept me updated every step of the way, even sending progress photos so I could see the work in real time.

From the very start, the first sales call with Cully and estimate until the day of installation and throughout that day, with Mike W, the onsite PM, everything was perfect, organized and communicated clearly… this with hands down, one of the most professional cruise I’ve ever seen, as a whole. We are incredibly impressed and happy!

Was disappointed that we had to agree on a higher price in order to get the lifetime warranty we initially selected because you didn’t anticipate our current roof had the underlying adhesive that required replacing more of the wood

Roof looks great. Afternoon felt like it was rushed and left without properly sealing my radon exhaust pipe which leaked into the ceiling the first heavy rain. Issues were resolved promptly.

Everything was accomplished in a timely manner and professionally, however it wasn't a cheap installation. If financial isn't a concern, I'd highly recommend them.

It was a very seamless process. Marty was the foreman on the job. He was fantastic and did a wonderful job explaining the process and options. He made sure everything was shown to me afterwards and that it met my standards.

Overpriced OSB sold as plywood.
Strip the roof and then tell me I’m not getting a warranty unless you install rolled roofing that is not what we agreed on in the contract.
Don’t replace plywood that was part of the original reason that you were hired to do the roof.
Sell me on an install crew that’s full-time fully trained permanent employees But the crew that shows up as in an unmarked van and the foreman tells me that it’s a new crew that he’s never worked with before and he doesn’t even know if they know how to install the rolled roofing that he just told me they have to use if I want a warranty.

I had a great experience with A1, the work was done quickly, respectfully, and without any hassle.

I am very pleased with the quality of the job. The cleanup was impeccable.

I asked 3 companies for a quote, 2 companies replied by text, 1 company (A1) sent over somebody with a binder with samples and to give the whole explanation about the company, about the warranty and all the other stuff you want to know.
Ai performed best here, that's why we went with A1.

The price of the roof increased a couple of times, even though I asked for the worst case scenario from the beginning, given the readily apparent damage via the inspection and pics. This is something the salesperson warned me would happen with other companies.

Magically, before they took the shingles off, he knew I needed to replace 12 pieces of plywood. He charged us for 12 extra pieces of plywood. He showed up with particle board, which is cheap plywood. It is $14.36 at Lowes. They charged me $150 each for 12. We knew we needed to replace one piece. We agreed to get two just in case we needed an extra one. The foreman showed up with 12 pieces of wood before the job was started. They knocked on the door when they got there to tell my parents that they needed 12 pieces. That is their way of making extra money. I don't appreciate that at all. There are shingles that are sticking up. I am still finding nails and shingles around the house. The only good thing is the guy came after to pick up nails and shingles on his own time.

The overall experience was definitely some of the highest levels of professionalism. In terms of other roofing companies I was considering at the time, they did an excellent job. They just need to be really thorough when it comes to the clean-up, and double check to make sure everything is good aesthetically, at the end of the project.

They did a great job explaining everything to me . I'm still amazed that they did my roof in one day cleaned up everything and we're gone never knew they were even here …. Very happy with my new roof.
