Following excellent remediation work by the Legacy team dealing with a mold issue in our Master bathroom and closet, we contracted with Legacy for a nearly complete rebuild of these rooms, including complete new shower, new floor and shower tile, new countertops, new toilets, painting in both our Master Bathroom plus powder room plus new carpeting in our large Master Closet and painting in the closet, Master Bath and Powder room. Our rooms have 9 foot ceilings and painting was required to upgrade all of these rooms, including two coats of paint in each room to cover older wallpaper, installation of new fixtures, custom shower door using frameless glass and also including both a bench and niche in our larger than normal shower and unusual shape with angled glass on either side of the new shower door. Our Master bath has a trapezoidal shape with separate vanities on two walls including mirrors of 5 and 6 feet which were nicely framed to provide a fully professional framing look throughout. We had special new fixtures to modernize the bathroom with excellent trim work including Crown molding throughout. All work crews were highly professional and we relied on recommendations by the Legacy team for many detail items. The team removed and reattached all doors and shelving in both bathrooms and our Master Closet and the results exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the Legacy team for any such remodel work. The PM Allan Renwick stayed in constant touch with us about work crew and material availability and we had a very small punch list of only minor items which were all finished quickly and resolved to our satisfaction.
Types of work - Highly professional contractor teams for every facet of our project, would recommend to anyone considering bathroom and closet renovation. Shelves and doors removed and replaced following painting, project included new modernized fixtures, new carpet, floor and shower tiling, countertop replacement, etc.
Clean - Daily cleanup of work areas, protection of flooring leading into the work areas.

Quality Of Materials - We chose our own fixtures, tile, etc. with input and recommendations from Legacy. Samples provided for Master Closet carpeting. We purchased some items ourselves with others being obtained by the Legacy team. All new fixtures installed in a professional manner by Legacy.
Quality Of Workmanship - We are highly pleased with the end result of our project and expect the updated and modernized rooms, fixtures, etc. to add good resale value for our property. All of the Legacy teams were highly professional and we could not have asked for better workmanship in any area.
Expertise - Legacy clearly had the reputation, experience and expertise to make this project highly successful. We had chosen Legacy based on reviews from others both for the remediation and remodel work and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing similar project work.

Value - Absolutely happy with the finished project and the estimate provided at project start was exactly in line with estimate. Milestone payments for completed work tasks were identified in the contract and no problems with timing or amount of milestone payments. Our project provides a Wow factor for future resale and should also provide a good return on the investment whenever it is time to sell the property.
Work Done Right - No contractors needed to be recalled to complete the project work, Highly professional group of contractor teams coordinated in an excellent manner by our Project Manger Allan Renwick.
Sales Knowledge - Initial visit and estimates provided by owner David Abbey. We had also received estimate from ServPro which charged for their estimate while Legacy did not.
Design - Great direction and recommendations on such items as direction of tile laid as we have an unusually shaped trapezoidal Master Bath. Final result was even better than our expectations.
Recognized Excellence - All contractor crews exceptionally experienced and provided high quality work for all parts of the project. Allan Renwick as Project Manager is highly experienced and did a great job coordinating all of the project work.
Areas For Improvement - Really have no complaints or recommendation for improvements, there was a waiting period for the custom shower glass which was explained up front but follow up by Legacy allowed for installation the day after delivery of the custom glass was confirmed.
Areas Of Satisfaction - All expectations met or exceeded.
Knowledgeable - very satisfied with experience, expertise and communication skills provided by Allan Renwick throughout the project.

The bathroom renovation was completed with no complaints. I particularly like the way no one pushed me to upgrade or improve on the original idea, keeping change orders at a minimal. All change orders I initiated.
Communication - I appreciated the constant update on the progress and scheduled work. There was never a time a phone call went unanswered or a text and email not responded to.
Quality Of Workmanship - Tile was was superior. No problems with new walls not being plumb.
Schedule - I struggled with some decision, (ie paint color and lighting) but there was no pushing me to make a decision or to try to keep me on their schedule. Very patient.
Design - My initial design was not doable because of the existing plumbing and electrical, but we worked to come up with a plan that we all agreed would be great.
Recognized Excellence - Allan, my PM was very thorough.

In our 25 year old home which we bought new and which exists on a concrete slab, we discovered after moving boxes recently from the floor of our Master closet that backs up to our Master bath that we had a problem with water damage and mold. We had first contacted ServPro to review for us and they gave us some basic information. They also recommended a plumber that was brought in to confirm the cause of the leak/mold problem and it was suspected that the leak and damage likely occurred over a period of time due to leakage from our Master Shower pan but felt that we overpaid the plumber based on the limited time that they were onsite though we had agreed to a flat rate for one day. We wanted a second opinion and had found Legacy Restoration Services in the 2023 Services Guide covering Gwinnett County and their entry showed both a high rating and the ability to handle both the remediation and the remodel that would need to be done post-remediation and liked the idea of dealing with one firm that could handle both services. Jason from Legacy came out and gave us a good bit of information and recommendations that we had not received from Serv-Pro so we got estimates from both. The Legacy estimate was less but mostly we felt more comfortable chosing Legacy as we could tell from the good detail and ease of answering questions by Jason from Legacy that we would be more comfortable working with them. In addition, ServPro charged an estimate fee and Legacy did not.
So we contracted with Legacy and got the work scheduled very quickly. Jason and his crew gave us a line item type estimate including the type and number of fans, treatment services, removal of entire shower down to the slab plus removal of all of the Master Closet carpet, not just the smaller area where damage was evident. After demo, they showed up what they had found and of course also handled all debris removal, treatment and cleanup. The service was excellent but needed to take place over a number of days due to the amount of demo work and treatment area size and outlined the steps for all of these services. Once complete Jason took an air sample for us and was able to send a report from the lab showing that the area was not completely clean and ready for remodel. At this point we are engaging Legacy for the rebuild work which includes most of the bathroom area (rebuild of shower completely, removal and replacement of all floor tiles and new carpet installation for our large Master closet. We have received the estimate after meeting with owner David Abbey and are working both with David and his wife Rhonda on suggestions and addressing questions for us.
We are about to begin that work and feel comfortable with our decision to use Legacy for the remodel work as well. Unfortunately since the leakage and damage occurred over a period of time we were unable to obtain any coverage by our insurance company. But we know that this is a large job and the remodel including modernizing fixtures, countertops, tiles, etc. and know that the finished upgrade will help to add to our resale value for our home. So far Legacy has been very acomodating, easy to reach and highly ranked for the quality of their work. I would not hesitate to recommend Legacy to others based on our won experience thus far.
