I have used Lasting Impressions on a couple jobs and will hire again. This was the first time we have ever had a home improvement however of any type.

Our project was for an addition of a screened in patio onto the back of our home. This involved, framing, roofing, landscaping, stone work, electrical, gutters, siding, screen, etc. Though it was not huge is size, from my point of view it was very large in scope with lots of moving parts. So it was expected for there to be some complications with so much going on.

There were some snags along the way. From my own ignorance and some other issues that maybe could have been seen coming but I don't know. These guys did everything right from my stand point to correct any and all issues that came up. And that is what in the end, is the mark of a great business. No one is perfect. And pursuit of perfection is a fools quest. However, pursuit of constant improvement will always drive quality results.

I will be hiring these guys again. I will however not be as ignorant of a consumer or homeowner on any large projects.

They made great recommendations on design and material choices. They kept me informed on scheduling and the installation crews were excellent.

The workers did a quality job. They explained how they were going to do things in order to ensure the job was done right and according to the original manufacturer instructions. The sales representatives and administrative staff were also very helpful and communicative. The only issue is that they were the most expensive. However, they were willing and able to get the job done in a timely fashion when others weren't able. They did great work.

Had old rotten wooden railings replaced with new aluminum railings on front porch, had old shutters replaced with new shutters and had new double doors installed in living room that leads to back porch.

OVER ONE YEAR AFTER SERVICE/CONSTUCTION COMPLETED:
I wanted to write this review at least one year after our construction projects were completed. I felt by waiting, it would provide a better and more accurate picture of the quality (or lack of quality) of any services performed. Most reviews are probably written one to three months after completion. In all honesty, within those months, everything performed should still be in excellent condition. Just a little over one year later, I must confess that the work performed by Michael Kemp and the Lasting Impressions team still looks as if it was completed yesterday! Mr. Kemp and the Lasting Impressions Home Solutions team were very easy to work with, were honest, offered recommendations and ideas if they felt it would possibly be better or more cost effective, were punctual and communicated quickly if I attempted to contact them. The quality of the materials and workmanship were superb! The costs of the projects were very reasonable for the work performed. I have absolutely no complaints or concerns and will request quotes from Lasting Impressions first for any future projects!

Had some siding and rot repaired along with new gutters and painting of whole house. Project was completed in an orderly and professional manner. All issues were resolved quickly and fairly.

I was so pleased with every aspect of their work. We had an area of siding that unfortunately was damaged from a grill and our builder recommended this company. We had several issues with our home that needed to be addressed. We were looking for a contractor who would be able to handle everything as one big project. From residing our house, installing missing flashing over the garage, windows, and doors, to replacing our deck and adding a partial roof over it, Michael and his team delivered. We are over the moon happy, with how it all turned out.

We had several different contractors come out to assess our project. As we were looking for someone who would be able to address the many components of our project using knowledgeable trades and quality materials, we wanted this project on our “forever” home to be done right. Of the several different contractors we met, Michael stood out to us. His knowledge and experience in construction made the decision to go with his company easy. Besides being the owner of Lasting Impressions Home Solutions, Michael was also personally involved in the project. From his initial estimate to him overseeing the project on-site, we felt confident throughout the project that we were in good hands. The quality of the work, fair price, professionalism, polite crews, and of course, his pride in good quality work shows that he was the right contractor for our project.

Michael’s team resided the entire exterior of our home with James Hardie Color Plus. As Lasting Impressions Home Solutions is a James Hardie approved installer, Michael made sure that all James Hardie Products were correctly installed.

For our new deck, the framers built a sturdy structure on new, solid footings. We chose TimberTech Azek Polymer Decking for our deck boards. Kevin, Michael’s specialist for composite decking, came out to install the multi-width pattern we had chosen. With the hidden cortex screw system, you can hardly see the plugs. Kevin was very meticulous, which shows in his work. The new aluminum railing (Fortress Al13) is rock solid without obstructing our view. The roof extension over a portion of the deck looks seamless, and the IKO Nordic shingles blend in perfectly with the rest of the house. At the end of the project, the siding crew came back and wrapped the support posts of the deck and roof to match the new trim. Now everything is consistent as if it was always meant to be there.

Michael’s hardscape team removed a section of our old concrete path, graded the area, and then installed a new paver path.

With so many trades involved in tackling this project, Michael did a fantastic job. We cannot wait to enjoy the new and elegant exterior of our home, along with the sturdy and maintenance-free deck.

A huge Thank You to the Lasting Impressions Home Solutions team for the quality work they did on our home. We love the transformation. It is nice knowing that there are still companies out there who are honorable and put their clients first. I know we will use them again in the future for other projects.

I ran a company that worked in people's homes as well so we shared an appreciation for what it takes to satisfy the most exacting (a nice word for picky) type of customer. Michael delivered on what he said and if inevitable problems or delays due to supplies or weather arose, Michael was up front and honest and kept us well aware of his progress and was great texting or calling with updates. He buttoned up the smallest little detail that we may have identified to make sure we were happy with the result. Great job, Great man, Great company.

When we purchased our house, we knew replacing the Masonite siding was inevitable. Based on the anticipated scope of work and spend, we spent a few months meeting with a wide range of contractors. We were immediately impressed with Michael, the owner of Lasting Impressions Home Solutions. For starters, we dealt directly with him - not a salesperson. His proposal was extensive and thoughtful - not a bulleted list or email. Lastly, we appreciated his sense of pride and commitment to delivering a high quality product - siding is a commodity, the differences are in the details. 

For a sense of scope, Michael and his team were tasked to fully reside our two story house with James Hardie, custom window trim, close in our attic vents and install new ridge vents, replace and reframe two rotted garage windows and install new gutters and downspouts. Throughout the process, Michael was present, accessible for questions and clarifications, and accommodating to unexpected issues and repairs. When I became stressed, he remained calm and confident. "Aren't you glad you hired Michael?" my wife reinforced throughout the entire project.

Im completely impressed with Michael and Lasting Impressions Home Solutions. I would not call myself the easiest of customers but Micheal was patient and valued me as a customer. Our relationship started when I asked Michael for a renovation quote on a property I was planning to flip, however I was outbid on the property. We ended up closing on another property a month or so later and again needed a quote from Michael. I was impressed how responsive he was. We had a contractor come to our home in Matthews to give us a quote on repairing some rot on the siding in the rear of the house. The contractor stated that the work was too complex and beyond his scope. Both the gas line and the electrical supply line coming into the house were located on the siding where the rot was. This would require the expertise of several technicians as well as a contractor. The first contractor then recommended Lasting Impressions Home Solutions because he had worked with Michael Kemp and his crew at Lasting Impressions on several occasions in the past and found them to be very qualified. We called Michael and he came out to the house to inspect the damage and give us a quote. We felt his quote was fair but more than that Michael stated that he would arrange for and/or coordinate all the materials and technicians necessary to complete the total job. This relieved us of a great deal of work and frustration. A day before the job one of Michael’s crew members delivered all the needed materials for the job. The next morning, Michael and his crew showed on time and began the job. Michael himself stayed with his crew for a number of hours to insure that the job was begun properly. When he had to leave, he left his foreman in charge to keep things moving. The job was completed with no complications, including work on the gas and electrical lines. We are very satisfied with not only the excellent quality of the work but also the professionalism that Michael and his crew demonstrated while completing their work. Lasting Impressions Home Solutions was recommended to me by another company for the work that I needed. One of Mike's crew was at my house within a couple days after first contact. Gave me, what I believe was a fair and reasonable quote for the job. I am very happy that I went with them. Had trim that had rotted out for the second time. They tore off the wrap. Replace all the rot. Fixed the issue causing the problem. Re-wrapped and the finished product looks great! The entire crew were friendly, but professional.They are a window and roofing company, but took time out to do my small job. If any other issues come up with my home, Mike will be the first person I call. In fact, I will contacting them in the near future for a full home window replacement.

This is the 2nd time I've hired Mike and his crew. This time, instead of all new windows, they helped me install all new Provia exterior (and a few interior) doors. I can ALREADY feel a difference in the temperature of the house as they replaced my 42-year-old, no insulation, rotting, single pain, wooden doors. Once again, color me impressed. These guys are in high demand and stay busy but when you get them on your project, they are on it. Mike supervises, talks you through any questions you may have and makes you feel at ease. His lead guy on this job, Ebort, could not have been nicer and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. If something isn't right, they make it right. Customer satisfaction is important to Michael as is his clients being happy. If I were having any more projects done, Lasting Impressions Home Solutions is who I would hire. His estimate was very detailed and priced fairly so we decided to move forward. During the (approximately) 2 week job Michael was in constant communication with updates and making sure we were satisfied. The Lasting Impressions crew was experienced and it showed. Their quality of work blew us away. Michael made suggestions I had not even thought of that added to the overall quality of siding our house now has. During the project I was very impressed with the materials & techniques the crew used to wrap the fascia / soffit areas - so I asked if it was possible to expand the scope of the project to do the same to my shed. Michael quickly came back with a fair price to add in that work and it was done within a day or two.
