While the work done was good and the crew who did the work were very friendly, respectful, and hard-working. The estimator Steve was very helpful and prompt. However the other logistics of working with Mihalko's was awful, specifically communication with Dale and price transparency. Dale was supposed to arrange to bring flooring samples that were within the price range that our home insurance would cover. Rather than contacting us and arranging a time to meet, he simply showed up unannounced in the middle of the day. He also did not bring samples, but dropped them off later that week. Despite the fact we needed tile and plank flooring, he only dropped off plank samples. When I emailed him with our selection, I also included tiles from Lowe's that I liked and the closet doors I preferred. Dale confirmed the planks he showed me were within the insurance estimate, however when I received the bill there was a surplus charge for the difference between the planks price and the insurance allotted amount. I have emailed them about this difference but never received a reply. I also was never given a contract for the work. Additionally, Dale did not get the tile and showed up seemingly surprised that I had requested tile. He also didn't order the closet door. I had to remind him about it later in the process. When I asked for an itemized invoice, I was told they were just using the insurance estimate and did not have any other details about the cost of the materials they used. I would not recommend.

They performed an excellent job. They were under constraints due to the weather, but they got here as quick as they could. I am very pleased with the work they did.

It was a rough start to the day with the basement flooding, tough day at work, and my daughter's birthday. the team at Mihalko's came in and saved the day!!! cleaned the mess and let all their equipment there over the weekend (stopping each day to check) to make sure the basement was completely dry and safe. thank you!
