They deserve more stars than 5 lol. The best group of people, the communication was amazing, any question I had was answered. The crew that worked on the roof kept me up to date throughout the whole process, and they were very efficient. The work was nothing short of amazing, and it was a pleasure to have them.

Let me start by saying, for us, we saw no need to go further than Sergio Mendes’ kiosk at the Summerville Saturday Market. It’s August 2026 and we planned on replacing our 21 year old roof this year and we’d walked up to other roofing company’s kiosks at this year’s Flowertown Festival so we began our research for potential roofers early this year. Literally, it took me all of two minutes of talking with Sergio to realize we need go no further; Hometown Roofing was THE ONE to go with.

Bar none, the best roofing company Sales Manager in my book. The other companies had good presentations and are no doubt good roofers but Sergio did something the others didn’t; he instilled the confidence and assurance that his was the roofing company for which I was searching. After the first two minutes, I was at put ease and listening—he spent five more minutes explaining how the Owens Corning shingles are constructed and the manner in which they would be installed. I’m no roofing expert; however, I came away knowing tons more than I knew before walking up to his kiosk…I was sold.

So much so that I made an appointment with him immediately and we hit him with a ton of questions which he answered at our home visit. Then, Sergio assessed the interior of our home and climbed into our attic and upper crawl space to determine if any roof sheeting needed to be replaced. By then, we were convinced he would leave no stone unturned. My wife, son, and chihuahua, took him in as one of the family! That’s how much of an impact he had on us and get this, the entire group of Hometown Roofing people are no less stellar. These dynamos are, no kidding, wholeheartedly committed to providing you nothing less than OUTSTANDING service overflowing with constant communication and concern. I predict that they will put you at ease…they did so for us! You may be facing handing over a huge amount of money for your investment and the team at Hometown Roofing, starting with Sergio Mendes, will assure you that you’ve invested your time and resources in the right roofing company and in the right roofing product.

Sergio presented us with several plates of different shingles and the DESIGNEye-Q Visualization Experience tool on the Owens Corning site allowed us to superimpose them onto a photo of our house to see how each one would look on our roof. The three quotes Sergio provided helped us pick the right one for our budget. The entire process of meeting, to scheduling, to installing, and finishing was seamless and done professionally. Sergio, himself availed himself after installation to guarantee us that everything was done correctly by climbing back on the roof to inspect it followed by a walk around the property with a keen eye and magnetic nail finder to assure us all debris was removed.

The manner in which the team at Hometown Roofing installed our roof left us feeling nothing but deep appreciation and certain assurance of their level of dedication to providing the highest level of customer service that culminates in, what I believe, is a solid position at the very top of the roofing company industry…our assessment: All the way to the right on the star scale!

We highly recommend Hometown Roofing. They are a local company that worked hard to support us before, during and after our roof and some windows was damaged in a storm. They met with any inspectors, provided proper documentation to the insurance, helped maintain the tarp covering the hole, and supported us as it was a long process waiting on insurance. Once we got approval, they walked us through all the details of the contract so we fully understood the repairs needed on the roof and windows. They secured all the permits. Then they completed all the work efficiently. The work crews were very skilled, worked quickly and were respectful of our property.
We really felt taken care of and not just another client. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and made sure we were completely satisfied. They were successful!!
