This company was recommended by my homeowner's insurance policy as an in-network, approved company to handle the restoration of my home. I feel it is important to inform other people and do not provide my experience in a mean-spirited way. All I will say is that if you have the ability to pick another company, do that. My project manager was terminated and after two months of hearing nothing from the company, I had to reach out to them to find out the details and ask for updates. None of the work completed by the first project manager was retained by Advanced DRI. A hardwood floor that was installed in November by the low-bid, recommended company, was a nightmare. Cracks in the boards and terrible installation. The company treated us like dirt on their shoes and accused my family of "walking around with rocks in our shoes" to cause the damage that was noticed 6 hours after installation. Instead of ADRI trying to make it right, it took them 7+ months to clear their liability and then I had to pick the company to do the work and make all the arrangements. If you can GC your project on your own, do that. If you need a company to do it, do not use this one.

I would give a 10 rating for likely to recommend them.

They did an excellent job and we are pleased with the quality of work.

I would not recommend FIrst General Services, I had an insurance claim, and the adjuster was wonderful, but First General Services started with mistakes, and it was a horrible experience through the whole event, and I am happy to be rid of them. It took a year and a half.

Would recommend for clean up services but not for contracters work.

The job involved many contractors and the coordinator didn't update on when they were coming, and I was never given a schedule. On one occasion, he just showed up, and I wasn't given a heads-up. On the main part of the job for the floor installation and replacement, the contractor didn't do a good job. He skipped the replacement of some of the subfloor that was damaged, as a result the floor is uneven. I let it go because I put furniture on those spots, and you can't see it.

Communications from Bryan were spot on. They were extremely busy due to a damaging storm that passed through our state yet I always knew what and when to expect the next step in mitigation. The workers arrived as promised. They were efficient, respectful of my home, friendly and helpful in my understanding of what the damage was, thus eliminating any worries I had. Definite five star company!

These guys are top notch. They do great work, inform us every step of the way what’s going on, are polite and reliable. We plan to keep them in mind for future work on the house.

It did take a long time to start the work. Any issues or delays (we assume) were due to covid. There were a number of scheduled appointments that were changed at the last minute. The actual workmanship was very good.

First General did a great job in repairing the damages to my garage, as well as addressing issues raised by the town building official and myself.

First General Services, especially Mike, went above and beyond my expectations.

George, who was my primary point of contact, was absolutely amazing. Losing your house is never an easy thing, and having to rebuild it can be a stressful time. He went way above what a customer would expect from a contractor. He was super compassionate, knowledgeable, and very understanding. I would highly recommend him and First Gen to anyone in need of their services.

Mike Lombardo is a great asset to First General. He was always reachable and did his best to coordinate many different subs on this very complex flood repair job.
