Over the years I have come to appreciate and rely on consumer reviews. I really do not like to write negative reviews but unfortunately I cannot give Fidelity roofing a good review.
In this case the roof materials were from Owens Corning. I purchased an upgraded shingle and the manufacturers extended warranty. Fidelity Roofing is an Owens Corning certified contractor so I expected the roof would be installed properly. There are too many issues to cover in this review but suffice it to say I was disappointed in all areas related to customer satisfaction. The worse issue for me is when the local Ownes Corning Representative texted Fidelity Roofing that the job did not meet the warranty requirements. He said no one would ever know. If I hadn’t followed up with the warranty department directly my warranty would be void. Trying to keep it short, the Owens Corning Warranty department determined the roof was not installed properly based on photos I supplied and ultimately had Fidelity Roofing perform a workaround to bring it into compliance with the Owens Corning Warranty requirements. Finally, I will say that after completing this survey the first time, the owner of Fidelity Roofing reached out to me to make things right up to and including stripping off the roof and starting over. It was a nice gesture but at this point the roof was on and Owens Corning approved it so now I hope for the best. Because of the Owners offer to make concessions, I did revise this review to be less detailed and less critical than the first version.
