I had the roof replaced. I had gutter guards that were in place before the replacement. I realized the insurance company was just paying for one or the other; they were paying for the gutters. I wanted gutter guards put back on. The contractor said he would do that. He came out on the Friday before Memorial Day. There were terrible winds, 30-40 mph winds and it was bitterly cold, and raining or about to rain. At the end of the day, he was rushing and grabbed the ladder and started shoving the gutter guards underneath the shingles. He had problems doing that and kept shoving them. He made the comment that it was nailed too far down to the shingles. He continued to put the shingles in with difficulty. Some of it was against the nails. He got halfway around the house and said the shingles were too big for the gutters. Then he started cutting them down. In the process, they were arched, dented, and twisted upside down. He was trying to get them in there as fast as he could. They came and went, and I asked them to come back and look at it. I pointed things out, and he made the comment that that's the difference between a paid job and a free job. I didn't appreciate that comment. I reminded him that he said they were nailed down too far; he denied that. The comment they made and it should have been installed properly to make the customer happy. He got the gutter people out there, and he talked to us at the end when he was done. The Chippewa Valley Exteriors contractor and the other contractor fist-bumped; perhaps they were in cahoots with one another. He said he filled the gutter guy in. I didn't like the experience. I would not have them come out again. The front end with helping me with the insurance company was good. One of his employees went to the back of my property behind one of my sheds to use the bathroom. He came out and sat back there and took pictures of my property. If they are going to do that, they need to tell the owner. I didn't appreciate him using my property to use the bathroom.

They did a nice job and cleaned up. We never knew they were here. It was dark when they completed the job. They did a really good job.

They have been responsive in a timely way.
