They were great to work with, kept me informed and answered all my questions quickly.
Dealing with Belfor for renovations was one of the worst experiences of my life--I wish I was exaggerating. Poor workmanship and no attention to detail. The crew was terrible, and the contractor, Angel, ghosted me after I pointed out all the problems with the reno (floors were not installed properly, a ruined vanity, poor tilework on the shower, a damaged mirror, trim that wasn't finished or stained, no doorstop, so the installers actually made a hole in the wall and left it!) The original adjustor, Dale, was also unresponsive to my complaints. The renovation started in June of 2022 and was completed at the end of October 2023! I never received a bill (despite asking for one) until June of 2023 when I received a certified letter threatening me with collections and a lien on my home! And this was after my insurance company had already paid thousands of dollars for the poorly done job. After I informed the manager that I would take legal action myself, the company was suddenly ready to fix all the issues. This took months because every time the crew fixed something, they damaged something else. It actually became comical! At the end, the company tried to bill me an extra $600, which I refused to pay, although I did pay over $2200 on top of thousands my insurance paid. The restoration people from Belfor were awesome and did a great job, but the renovation part is a joke and their business practices seem to border on criminal.
It went beyond any measure that I could even imagine with fixing my bathroom. I was just amazed at how friendly they were, how hard they worked and the quality of their work. It was just an awesome experience.
