I got five estimates for this roofing job. One well known company indicated they did not hook up bathroom vents and that was our responsibility. One company would not negotiate on the final price. Two companies had an estimate so high it was clear they did not want the job.
Gibson was one of two companies who actually evaluated the attic by going inside the attic. Three companies did not even ask about the attic. Gibson spent the most time in a hot attic and took lost of pics and video. No other company took video or offered to show me their video.
Gibson worked with me on the final cost and they convinced me they wanted our job.

We received three bids, with each company competent to do the work. We selected Gibson Roofing above the others primarily due to our very positive experience with Josh Gibson, who developed the Gibson Roofing proposal. Of the three, Josh Gibson listened carefully to what we were saying and the Gibson Roofing proposal was carefully tailored to our requests and concerns. Since we are in the Pacific Northwest, one of our concerns was air flow and venting. The Owens Corning roof system installed by Gibson Roofing has effective ridge venting and other venting options that are important for our climate zone. I might mention that Josh Gibson appears a bit younger than he is - don't be put off by that, he has excellent knowledge of roofing and roofing materials and options and is very bright and quick in catching what you are saying and in responding with a great proposal.
