GuildQuality customer satisfaction surveys enable homeowners to rate their contractor on a scale of zero to four (with zero being the worst and four being the best) in all sorts of categories. Our members can publish a summary of those answers here on their profile page, displaying a bar for as many or as few questions as they like. The score for each category indicates the percentage of survey respondents who answered a three or four to that particular question.
Kitchen remodel (82)
Bathroom remodel (81)
Whole house remodel (79)
Design build remodel (74)
We display two types of written homeowner feedback on GuildQuality member profile pages: Comments and Reviews.
In response to our customer satisfaction surveys, homeowners share lots of comments about construction quality, communication, or any other question asked in the survey. Guildmembers can selectively publish these comments here on their profile page.
Reviews are different than comments. These are star ratings that homeowners ask us to publish, and they come with a written description of the type of experience they had working with their contractor. We publish all of the reviews we receive: positive and negative alike.
My overall experience with Murray Lampert was good. Since this was our second time using Murray Lampert, I expected a little more. As with any remodel, issues will arise. I understand that. But it is how these isues are handled. I think the quality of our custom cabinets is very poor. LTD's (cabinet people) customer service is also poor. We are still having issues with our cabinets. So the question that comes up is...Will I use Murray Lampert again? The answer...If I have another project, I will definitely get a quote from Murray Lampert and compare it to at least two other companies. If I need some sort of cabinetry, I would not use LTD. Murray Lampert would have to use another cabinet company.
I am sorry that you were unhappy with our cabinet people this time. After I met you on the job 2 weeks ago, our cabinet finisher returned to complete the corrective work. We have been using the same cabinet builder for over 30 years because of their quality and how they stand behind their work. Please let me know if you have any other concerns and we are happy to address them. Gregg Cantor President/CEO
Because reputable San Diego company.
I have already done that.
My neighbor had a large expansion and he was very satisfied with it. I used to work closely with the Better Business Bureau and the president with them recommended them to me. He had some good things to say about them.
Murray Lampert has a longstanding history of doing work and contributing to improving the overall quality of life in the local community. As a long time San Diego resident, I know that companies do not last long without a reputation of doing superior work and providing a high level of customer satisfaction. When we "took the big step" and decided to move forward with our construction project, I called Murray Lampert.
Murray Lampert and their construction team met or exceeded all of our expectations.
I can't say enough about about Murray Lampert Design, Build, Remodel. Gregg Cantor was attentive, innovative, professional and went the extra step to help us make our remodel and whole house make over happen. Steve Law was responsive, patient and smoothly addressed our concerns almost immediately upon notice. Frank Piermarini listened to wishes and desires during the design phase and proposed alternatives and/or made changes to the plans as necessary. Our dream house could not have happened without Murray Lampert.
I was most satisfied in terms of the contractors that came. We had a good experience with the electrician and the various other contractors.
They responded when I needed them.
What do you think about radiant barrier spray on coating versus foil backing radiant barrier?
We usended sheathing that already has radiant barrier. Definitely the best way to go.
What is the biggest "gotcha!" that customers experience when doing a kitchen remodel? (and how do I avoid them?)
Being too trendy especially if you are going to sell the home in a few years. Also, if you are staying in your home, installing cheap cabinets like IKEA is a big mistake.
We have Thermofoil kitchen cabinets that were white but have yellowed over the last 15 years. Can you paint Thermofoil?
I don't recommend painting Thremafoil. You should just consider change out the doors and drawer fronts.
