GuildQuality customer satisfaction surveys enable homeowners to rate their contractor on a scale of zero to four (with zero being the worst and four being the best) in all sorts of categories. Our members can publish a summary of those answers here on their profile page, displaying a bar for as many or as few questions as they like. The score for each category indicates the percentage of survey respondents who answered a three or four to that particular question.

We display two types of written homeowner feedback on GuildQuality member profile pages: Comments and Reviews.
In response to our customer satisfaction surveys, homeowners share lots of comments about construction quality, communication, or any other question asked in the survey. Guildmembers can selectively publish these comments here on their profile page.
Reviews are different than comments. These are star ratings that homeowners ask us to publish, and they come with a written description of the type of experience they had working with their contractor. We publish all of the reviews we receive: positive and negative alike.
We were very happy with Hopkins & Porter. Everyone was very professional, responsive and nice. The whole process beginning from initial discussion with Kelly to finishing the punch list with Ray and the crew was very pleasant. We have never done any home improvement projects before, so this was very very good first experience. Kelly was very responsive and spent a lot of time patiently explaining the pros/cons of all the materials and different options before we started the project, so we stayed within the budget. The crew was very polite and worked quickly. Ray came out regularly and inspected everything many times, he was very detail-oriented and when the job was done he was very thorough pointing out little things that needed to be fixed. The crew was very professional and asked and offered several solutions that we didn't think about. They did a great job on both of our projects. Overall, we were very very happy with Hopkins & Porter. When we do our next home improvement project, we definitely will call them back! And from now on, we will use the handyman
Todd McPhee, the project manager for my kitchen renovation, has been dependable, respectful, on time, and always eager to meet my expectations for the work being done. He has proven himself most valuable at finding workable and creative solutions to various construction-related problems (far exceeding my expectations). His main workman, Juan, is also hard-working, dependable and knowledgable about most jobs related to construction and/or repair work. Because of my excellent experience with Todd and Juan, I have been recommending Hopkins & Porter to all my friends and anyone I meet who is planning a home renovation project.
This is the third time we have used Hopkins & Porter for sizeable projects at our house. We keep using this firm because of its attention to detail, fair treatment of clients, and superior workmanship. We also appreciate the fact that the office staff, Todd McPhee, and the workers who have been at our house have all been uniformly responsive, courteous, and professional.
Todd McPhee is wonderful, helpful, knows so much and cares so much about our projects. It is the trust i have due to Todd, that i keep coming back to h and p. Also, Juan has done excellent work. Trust is important with home repairs. I know i can call Todd with questions. He is so kind.
Hopkins and Porter doesn't fall short. I just have to accept that the project will always cost more than I anticipate. But I reassure myself that I am paying for the trust I have that the job will be completed to my satisfaction.
Hopkins & Porter Construction was very professional. They were very easy to talk to in terms of any changes that needed to be made or things that I did not feel were working in the plan. They always communicated very well withme about things that may have had to be delayed or changes that had to be made. The workmanship was excellent and I would definitely use them again. I would certainly recommend them to anyone else. I know that in this area of Washington D.C. there are a wide range of prices in terms of design/build companies. Hopkins & Porter Construction is certainly not the cheapest, but they are not the most expensive. They are very professional. Also, I hate pushy salesmen, but they were very easygoing about doing things. That is a manner in which I like to work.
We were most satisfied with the overall organization of Hopkins & Porter's Handymen Operations and especially with the professional expertise and advice of our project's coordinator, Mr. Todd McPhee. We were also very satisfied with the quality of the work performed by each member of the team Mr. McPhee put together for our job.
