Merrill has what it takes (core character and truly wonderful fulltimers), BUT the quality of work v. value and the integrity of this outfit may be slipping after a decade of "fat-times" and "easy-pick'ns". We recommend Merrill Contracting, but it may be time for them re-assess what they really want to be "all-about" as they finish out this decade.

I completely trust Steve Linger. He was thoughtful, professional, and aggressive about quality. In addition, he addressed "extras" with thoughtfulness and price clarity. I also thought Greg was first rate. He really is a great craftsman. I don't know how he makes those early hours every day, but he is like clockwork. Like Steve, he is extremely polite, which I thoroughly appreciated. In fact, the Merrill team and the painters and electrician were just first rate. And Marblex's granite work was simply inspired. The compliments have been endless. I just wish you could come back and build me a master suite.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this project from the daily interactions with Rick and Steve (they were almost like family) to the problems solving meetings as we went from a hollow shell to a finished , beautiful home. That includes our work with the architect Matt Guenther and his assistants. Start to finish ..a winner in every way.
The employees maintained the highest levels of professionalism and courteous behavior at all times. We had some differences with a few of the subcontractors but these were dealt with qucikly by the project manager and foreman.
Yes very much so and they were very forthcoming and ethcial about glitches and problems . In almost every case they were resovled to our complete staisfaction without additonal charge or if there were addidional charges they were done without a contractor markup.
The project manager (Rick) was superb, one of the best people we have ever worked with. He was very clinet oriented and served as a strong advocate for us in all meetings,. He took a very direct role in dealing with the subcontractors and kept meticulous records. Also, he had an extremely high standard of what was acceptable. He never took a short cut and was demanding of himself and those who worked with him.
His day-to-day work forces are fantastic. We live in an area where people are doing construction all around us and by far his people are the most professional of those groups.

Homebuilders, remodelers, real estate developers and home services companies pay GuildQuality for customer surveying and performance reporting. We refer to these companies as GuildQuality Members, Guildmembers, or members.
Our service helps Guildmembers monitor customer satisfaction and -- if they choose to publish survey feedback on our public website at guildquality.com -- articulate the quality of their service for prospective customers.
All of the Guildmember information we publish at guildquality.com has been provided to us either by the member (such as pictures of work and biographical information) or by their customers via one of our surveys (customer comments, performance summaries, and reviews).
All of the customer feedback that we publish is derived from the customers we survey. Our Guildmembers provide us with their customers' contact information, we conduct the surveys, they receive the feedback, and -- if they have chosen to make their feedback public -- the member's performance report is automatically updated to reflect the response. Members may choose to publish a summary of either all of their feedback or their most recent twelve months of feedback.
In addition to average performance ratings and survey statistics, GuildQuality also publishes two types of customer commentary: Comments and Reviews.
A comment has been provided by a survey respondent in response to any one of the survey questions we ask, and a member may or may not choose to publish it. Often customers provide unsolicited testimonials or compliments, and members can choose to share these comments in their published performance report.
Many Guildmembers choose to participate in our formal review process. These members have added an additional question on their survey: "If you'd like to provide a public review of your experience working with the Guildmember, please share it here." In contrast to comments, which a member selects to have published, we publish all reviews, provided they are at least 30 words long. With each review, we include a one to five star rating provided by the survey respondent.
