Meeting Street, an award-winning homebuilding company, was founded by Joe Roy to bring custom attention to all aspects of a community through an innovative manufacturing process. "The company is truly a team", said Roy. "We play together. We work together. It is through the diligence and ownership amongst our employees that we are making history in creating beautiful and functional communities."

Meeting Street provides unique and quality homes at affordable prices, while making excellent customer service a key priority. "We are continually improving our systems and processes, we make it easier for our builders to focus on the homebuyer" said Roy.

WALKABLE

Meeting Street is responding to the needs of the growing number of Americans who prefer to live in a new type of neighborhood where the pedestrian is not an afterthought, and where interesting places within walking distance are as important as the quality of the interior finishing of the home. Building our homes or townhomes out in the middle of nowhere is not an option. Thus, the communities we build are conceived and designed in such a manner as to encourage interaction with neighbors and reduce mandatory time spent in cars by being near places of work and shopping.

Through our commitment to establish pedestrian-friendly communities, streets are often narrow (to slow traffic), and lined with shade trees to soften the density and beautify your vistas. Wide sidewalks line both sides of the street and are adorned by traditional styled lampposts.

BEAUTIFUL

Meeting Street takes pride in building on the traditions of classic homes in the finest old neighborhoods such as Charleston (home of the original Meeting Street), New Orleans, Boston, Alexandria, Georgetown and Savannah, where you will see many finely landscaped public squares - the inspiration of many of our neighborhood land plans.

The interesting streetscapes of these quaint, elegant cities with their varied old brick townhomes and diversified neighborhood centers influence our material selections and our ideas on livable porches, landscaping and authentic architectural details. The artful arrangement of our buildings and the use of a nostalgic theme add another dimension of beauty in our communities. Wherever possible, buildings are positioned to form town-style squares and open spaces, or take advantage of scenic views and vistas. Garages and utilities are unobtrusively located behind each home on a service alley. Click on the attached photos to compare our community to the more typical suburban approach to home building. After all, a picture speaks a thousand words.

Meeting Street is thorough in its approach to planning and developing a community from the great attention to detail to the effective use of key architectural elements. It all starts with visiting other countries, cities and old-world communities ranging from Europe to the superb homes of Myers Park and Dilworth. This allows us to explore and to see first-hand the architecture, planning and streetscapes that have endured over the years and still bring daily delight to their owners and visitors.

To bring these visions to reality and help design and engineer a community, we use award-winning professionals including David Furman Architecture, Shook-Kelly, LandDesign, DPZ, Seamon-Whiteside, and Christopher Phelps Associates. The result is evident in the proportion, scale, rooflines and details of our homes, and in the integration of natural areas and green space for our communities.

AFFORDABLE

Through an innovative manufacturing process, Meeting Street focuses on bringing classic architectural details that are normally found only in the most expensive custom homes to the more affordable price range. The end result is that residents get custom-style homes in a timely manner without custom-home prices. Streamlining our manufacturing process also allows us to maintain our commitment to responsible planning and to create inspirational communities.

We often find that it is more a matter of obsessive attention to detail and desire to excel than a matter of just adding cost to the home budget. We are committed to building quality homes priced from the low $110,000's to the mid $500,000's. Depending on your needs, Meeting Street has the perfect home for you.

When we develop a Meeting Street community, it's about more than building houses; it's about building communities, based on the lessons learned from traditional streetscapes that have stood the test of time. Simply put, it's where the best of yesterday meets the best of today.

Maybe your Meeting Street community will one day be a place of history.

The whole purchasing experience was the best that I've ever had out of the four homes that I have bought. It was smooth and easy. They worked hard to resolve things and get it settled. The construction supervisor was very helpful.

About GuildQuality and our Guildmembers

Homebuilders, remodelers, real estate developers and home services companies pay GuildQuality for customer surveying and performance reporting. We refer to these companies as GuildQuality Members, Guildmembers, or members.

Our service helps Guildmembers monitor customer satisfaction and -- if they choose to publish survey feedback on our public website at guildquality.com -- articulate the quality of their service for prospective customers.

All of the Guildmember information we publish at guildquality.com has been provided to us either by the member (such as pictures of work and biographical information) or by their customers via one of our surveys (customer comments, performance summaries, and reviews).

Surveys, Comments and Reviews

All of the customer feedback that we publish is derived from the customers we survey. Our Guildmembers provide us with their customers' contact information, we conduct the surveys, they receive the feedback, and -- if they have chosen to make their feedback public -- the member's performance report is automatically updated to reflect the response. Members may choose to publish a summary of either all of their feedback or their most recent twelve months of feedback.

In addition to average performance ratings and survey statistics, GuildQuality also publishes two types of customer commentary: Comments and Reviews.

A comment has been provided by a survey respondent in response to any one of the survey questions we ask, and a member may or may not choose to publish it. Often customers provide unsolicited testimonials or compliments, and members can choose to share these comments in their published performance report.

Many Guildmembers choose to participate in our formal review process. These members have added an additional question on their survey: "If you'd like to provide a public review of your experience working with the Guildmember, please share it here." In contrast to comments, which a member selects to have published, we publish all reviews, provided they are at least 30 words long. With each review, we include a one to five star rating provided by the survey respondent.

Important Information about choosing a Builder, Remodeler, or Contractor

It is important to note that GuildQuality does not endorse the qualifications of any company. We make no predictions, warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, about the quality of any work a company on this website may provide. GuildQuality does not accept any liability whatsoever for any harm that might result from any statements presented on this website.

Prospective customers should weigh a multitude of factors when choosing the right building company, and never depend on a single source when making their decision to purchase a home or hire a contractor.
