Ross Adkins was excellent throughout the project, especially on the front end dealing with project scope, estimating, and working with our insurance company. Mike Reid was our construction manager and did an exceptional job on several fronts -- getting the work done on to our satisfaction, and going the extra mile to keep in constant communication with us during the project. Again, the trust factor was very important to us, and I felt I could trust both Mike and Ross to make good decisions on matters both large and small.

Because my project was for a reconstruction due to hurricane/wind damage, I often needed assistance and guidance on how best to deal with my insurance company on issues relating to work scope, pricing, and related issues. Gruver Cooley worked closely with my insurance company to resolve issues and keep the project on track.

Ongoing customer communication was excellent. Any question, special request, or problem was addressed immediately. I felt I could trust everyone on the Gruver Cooley team to work with me on every element of our project. Finally, I felt the Gruver Cooley team went "the extra mile" to ensure my satisfaction with all work performed.

Professionalism of everyone we worked with including sub-contractors. Quality of work was excellent. G&C employees are perfectionists and would not stop until each part of the job was perfect even if we did not notice the imperfection. Job site was kept very clean every day. Everyone was a pleasure to work with.

While I've always appreciated that, in this case the work was to be done in a vacant house that I wouldn't visit regularly. Going into our project, we were aware of the typical home remodelers' strained relationships with their builders. From the beginning, Gruver Cooley exceeded our expections. They kept within our budget, and, if any changes were necessary, they clearly communicated any additional costs. In addition, Gruver Cooley's craftsmanship and attention to detail were incredible.

We love our house and it's a wonderful quality. I think Gruver Cooley did give us the product that we wanted - a very good house with thick walls, which are great. We are very pleased, we love our house, and get lots of compliments all the time about the detail and quality of our house compared to many other builders in our area - especially the track builders. The difference is not compatible at all - Gruver Cooley is head and shoulders above the track builders in the area. Everyone was nice to work with - and still we see them, so that says a lot. You wold talk to them, you wouldn't run when you see them.

Overall, our experience was outstanding.

On the whole, the company really stands alone for their exceptional personal relationships, honest and integrity. In a world where this has become virtually obsolete, we're sure Gruver-Cooley will be around to celebrate their 200th anniversary.
