Understanding the Process
Remodeling can be a very stressful process for homeowners. We believe it is important to educate our clients about what to expect during the design and construction process, and are available to them via a single phone call, at any time. We work hard to ensure that disruptions are kept to a minimum, creating secondary kitchens when necessary and minimizing dust, dirt, and noise. Budget overruns are another source of stress, particularly when architects and builders are unrealistic about the actual price of a project, resulting in costly change orders. We regularly review projects for "buildability" and help engineer effective design solutions in real-time. Poor communication between the architect and builder is another common problem. At Feinmann, information is not lost in the hand-off between designer and builder, because we encourage our project managers to resolve any issues immediately.

We also have decades of experience working with kitchen and bath products, and can advise and recommend products that achieve the look and functionality desired. Feinmann also carries a variety of cabinet lines, which make our kitchen and bathroom installations more efficient and less prone to problems, since we own the process and can get the materials to site more quickly.
Respecting Your Budget
Early on in the design process, we establish a target budget that is realistic - we provide several different design options, which vary by price, so the homeowners can see the range of design options available to them. Our projects do not contain contractor-driven "extras" because these costs are calculated during the design phase.
Building Green
We encourage the use of environmentally friendly materials and systems whenever appropriate and have incorporated tenets of "green" design into several of our award-winning projects. We make recommendations about ways our clients can achieve energy savings, and study homes to see where they are losing heat by using a blower door and infrared scanner, and have developed a whole-house energy audit. If green products and techniques are of interest, the beginning of the design process is a good time to talk about options, cost factors, and ways to apply them while meeting budget and design goals.
