We have personality plus . . . a commitment to beauty, strength and great living. We work with you and your home the way we would work with our own. In fact, owner Stephen McNiel has. Over the last seventeen years, CPR has grown more and more successful because we operate under the same simple philosophy that Stephen followed while restoring and remodeling his own home: Always uphold the integrity and quality of the work, for it is the ultimate expression of who we are.

Stephen McNiel has earned the exclusive designation of Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), one of less than 2,000 remodelers nationwide to achieve this designation from the NAHB (National Association of Homebuilders). CGR remodelers are recognized for demonstrating exceptional business integrity, technical competence and building a solid track record of customer satisfaction. Stephen has also been designated a Certified Remodeler (CR) by NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). NARI Certified Remodeler are professional remodelers who provide a full range of remodeling services. To become a CR, candidates must posses skill and knowledge in a broad range of business management and technical skill areas.

In 2006, Stephen McNiel was elected by his peers to serve as president of the Houston Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), which he did until 2008. His commitment to ethical practices and member education combined with his years of experience and expertise made him a very successful leader, and he continues to contribute his time and talents to NARI.

Comment Why Us? Houston, TX May 31, 2011

They had the best understanding of the project based on their proposal and bid. They had a competitive price and it didn't look like they were cutting corners.

Its a neighborhood company and we originally used them to quote us on a remodeling project but decided to go with someone else. When we were ready for our next remodeling project we went with him first because the other we chose disappointed us.

I was most satisfied with the value received considering the competitively bid project. I think it was a very excellent value. The quality of the finish from his own crew was very good.

Everything! Not to mention the assistance in obtaining additional homeowners payment toward the repair.

We are very happy with our project. The main objective was to make a home that would meet the needs of on elderly parent and a busy family, allowing us both our own spaces. My mother has been very happy since moving in.She has her own private area(the"Grandominium', as my kids call it) but likes to cook and can move easily around the open floorplan. We all like living together and not worrying about Mom living alone. I really like the new kitchen. The layout is great for family gatherings and parties- the open design has a great flow, and never feels crowded.

We appreciated design suggestions that Stephen made as we went along. He has a great design sense, and I like the fact that he values rehabbing homes instead of creating "McMansions".Since we were remodeling a 50 year old home, his experience with remodeling older homes was a great help. He understood what was important to us and helped us design for function a well as style. We also had Kristy Haas as a great design resource- she helped with material selections and keeping us on budget.

About GuildQuality and our Guildmembers

Homebuilders, remodelers, real estate developers and home services companies pay GuildQuality for customer surveying and performance reporting. We refer to these companies as GuildQuality Members, Guildmembers, or members.

Our service helps Guildmembers monitor customer satisfaction and -- if they choose to publish survey feedback on our public website at guildquality.com -- articulate the quality of their service for prospective customers.

All of the Guildmember information we publish at guildquality.com has been provided to us either by the member (such as pictures of work and biographical information) or by their customers via one of our surveys (customer comments, performance summaries, and reviews).

Surveys, Comments and Reviews

All of the customer feedback that we publish is derived from the customers we survey. Our Guildmembers provide us with their customers' contact information, we conduct the surveys, they receive the feedback, and -- if they have chosen to make their feedback public -- the member's performance report is automatically updated to reflect the response. Members may choose to publish a summary of either all of their feedback or their most recent twelve months of feedback.

In addition to average performance ratings and survey statistics, GuildQuality also publishes two types of customer commentary: Comments and Reviews.

A comment has been provided by a survey respondent in response to any one of the survey questions we ask, and a member may or may not choose to publish it. Often customers provide unsolicited testimonials or compliments, and members can choose to share these comments in their published performance report.

Many Guildmembers choose to participate in our formal review process. These members have added an additional question on their survey: "If you'd like to provide a public review of your experience working with the Guildmember, please share it here." In contrast to comments, which a member selects to have published, we publish all reviews, provided they are at least 30 words long. With each review, we include a one to five star rating provided by the survey respondent.

Important Information about choosing a Builder, Remodeler, or Contractor

It is important to note that GuildQuality does not endorse the qualifications of any company. We make no predictions, warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, about the quality of any work a company on this website may provide. GuildQuality does not accept any liability whatsoever for any harm that might result from any statements presented on this website.

Prospective customers should weigh a multitude of factors when choosing the right building company, and never depend on a single source when making their decision to purchase a home or hire a contractor.
