Working with Tilson has been a long road but they have been the most supportive and accommodating builder we have ever experienced. From sales to construction, every employee is top notch!

From the start I feel we were told what we wanted to hear to get the sale and then after signing everything changed. Attention to detail is missing in your builds. Your trades just get the job done regardless of how it is done or what the final appearance looks like. Your designers argued with each other during our session making choosing selections very difficult. Our design session lasted an hour because we were so rushed and uncomfortable with the attitudes of those representing your company. The paperwork was not submitted appropriately after our design session and we had to do it again from memory with our sales person late on a Wednesday evening which should have been her day off. The higher up person who is usually an assistant at one of the meetings was not present and our sales person had to handle it alone making this meeting completely unorganized. Our issues with the actual build started when materials were dropped on the driveway we provided and the material, our driveway material and the underlayment of the driveway went into what would be the foundation. This caused us to have to repair the driveway at a cost of more than $8000. Then the crew present did not have working equipment during the cement pour. Our slab was not poured according to standards causing concern which your construction manager addressed in a very unprofessional manner. At our final walk through every concern we brought up we were told it could not be addressed and it is what it is. His boss had to step in after we called to complain many times to the corporate office. I am/was a paying custom and no point did I feel treated that way. For a custom builder customer service should be a higher priority. Communications via text using teenage/slang abbreviations that we do not use as educated adults or even allow our children to use is an insult to your paying customers. When the issues arose with the concrete pour and the construction manager, his boss or anyone else copied on the email failed to reach out with an appropriate response, our faith in your company was lost. These and many more concerns can be addressed if someone would like to call me.

Overall the home turned out nice. It had what we wanted in our dream home.

I have been in the house six weeks now. People need to ask a lot more questions than I did. Once you get in and things are done, you don't know until you have to have an adjustment or additions, like problems with rain gutters. There are a lot of things I had done to the house to make it update livable. I can see why Tilson Homes can offer such good prices compared to other builders. They aren't skipping corners, but are behind the times with the things they do and use.
