OCR completed a re-roof installation in March 2023 on my house. This was my first time getting a roof and the sales manager Eric V took his time to ensure that I understood the process, what exactly OCR does at each stage from prep, demo, repairs, and then installation. One thing that stood out compared to other companies that I received estimates from was that Eric physically showed me the materials, the differences between them (pros and cons), and explained why they use specific materials in certain situations. This was extremely valuable information and being able to acknowledge that OCR is doing the job properly was plus. Eric was transparent throughout the whole process which I appreciated. The estimate was comparable with other company estimates that I received but it actually included higher quality shingles/underlayerment and added ridge vents, so I was getting a better deal overall. Another benefit was that their availability to perform the work was much faster (3 weeks compared to 6-8 weeks quoted).

As far as the actual installation, the crew showed up on time. The foreman Steve was professional and did a good job at communicating to me what was to be expected and when things would be completed. During demo, they covered all sides of the houses and on top of any plants with plastic tarps to catch any debris and lightly covered the AC unit with plywood to ensure no damage would be done to it. First day was demo, decking/flashing repairs, and prep. Second day was shingle installation. Two days, in and out for a re-roof. No problems with inspection and/or permit. I went up to the roof myself afterwards to look at it and I was impressed. Steve did mention that 176ft of decking had to be replaced, which I thought was a lot and wasn't expecting that much, but he said that it was lower than what they do on average. The office sent pictures of the decking damage and the repairs afterwards. Looking through them, it was evident that it had to be replaced and looked to be original to the house, so now I can rest assured that there shouldn't be an issues with the deck in the future.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the work that OCR completed and how transparent they were with the entire process. The only problem that I had was the unexpected cost for the decking repairs, which unfortunately you won't know until you start tearing things apart. I didn't think it was going to be that much at the start but I at least know that OCR did was wonderful job at documenting those issues and repairing it. I would highly recommend this company. Now let's see how well it holds up to the next major hurricane.

I needed to replace a deteriorating asphalt-roll roof. Furthermore, to satisfy the insurance company, I needed proper building permits and documentation. The staff worked closely with me on getting the proper documents and kept me up to date on the progress. The job was completed and inspected on time, despite having to complete additional surface board work and fascias. I was able to work with the team on all of this remotely as I was out of the country during the whole time, which was very important for me.

What is sad, the repair needed was due to a bad repair done by a previous company 1 year prior. Oviedo-Clermont Roofing (OCR) was quick to respond to my request for an estimate to repair a leak in my roof that was coming into my en-suite bathroom. The office was sympathetic to my plight and had a tech out to the house within 2 days. They reviewed the area and gave an estimate. There was no high pressure to sign that day. Instead they said if interested call the office and they will schedule a good start time. The rating on NextDoor was the determining factor plus the low-key sell tactic.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly - from the owner to the office staff to the workers. They kept me informed every step of the way. Any question I had was answered in a prompt manner. They are a great company to work with!
