We looked into four builders when deciding to relocate from MA to Brunswick Forest in NC, and quickly narrowed it down to 2, based on house size and floor plans. We wanted a smaller house but one that would offer gracious living and a quality home, and Kent had an excellent reputation. We talked to a lot of people, and I read many online reviews which were consistent in their high praise. Although Kent's price was higher than the runner-up builder, we kept coming back to the Pierre's Bay floor plan and knew this was what we wanted.

Quality Of Materials - The only reason I am putting this as a 3 is because time will tell if we are satisfied with the materials. I will say we felt locked into Samsung kitchen appliances and that may be the only real rub on the materials we have right now. Our experience with Kent has been great, so I can see this rating going up in the future.

Areas Of Satisfaction - The house was done on time, and we were professionally communicated to about all changes and delays. The project manager, AJ, was EXCELLENT. His follow through was excellent and he did a great job making sure all of our requests were managed.

The Warranty experience with Kent went as everything else went on Kent. WITHOUT a hitch. they were here when promised, had the repairs done without question and did everything that was on the list. If there was a question about a repair, they always did whatever we wanted. It was a 10/10 experience for us.

We have been impressed by the quality of the models we visited, but most of all are impressed with the people we’ve worked with so far. Kayla and Ella are wonderful to work with. We also feel the value we’re are getting for our money is incredibly good.

Areas For Improvement - Kent Homes fell extremely short of our expectations in reference to our first project manager. The fact that a person can basically do nothing for so long with zero operational oversight tells me there is a gap in the management structure. We found wires missing that were stolen, out second PM had to take apart the wall behind the fireplace because of excess insulation. We had one picture in our customer portal until Archie took over. There are still things in this house that I’m worried about due to the lack of oversight during construction.

Additional Comments - For the most part our experience with Kent was good except for the most important part. The build. Andrew Karch was basically missing in action and Kent Homes had no operational self assessment to detect this. Archie did a good job taking over but the fact that he had out house in Brunswick Forest and all his other projects were in St. James made no sense to us. Although Archie didn’t make s feel like our build was an afterthought, we wondered due to the geographical difference. I am in no way saying Archie didn’t address our concerns, because he did. I just questioned Kent’s management for giving Archie the project in the first place.

We have already told people that Kent Homes is the best in the development.
