We highly recommend Ross Painting. The company is a well organized, very experienced, highly skilled painting contractor, and Dan Ross, its owner, is a person of exceptional integrity. The company did all the painting and staining work on our wood home, including sanding and staining every wood surface in the entire house--inside and out. The results are truly breathtaking. Especially impressive is the fact that we had to replace a lot of the wood on the interior with new wood. The old wood had a 65-year old patina, which was beautiful, but the new wood was bright blonde. Oh, no, what do we do with this stuff? The magicians at Ross Painting somehow managed to come up with a stain mixture that matched the old wood exactly. When visitors come to the house they cannot believe that all the wood is not the original 65-year old wood. The company also did some painting on our project, and it turned out beautifully, too. Clean, crisp, precise. On another note, we had a product failure with a stain we used on the exterior of the house. The stain basically disappeared after about 6 months, and mold took over the south side of the house. The stain manufacturer refused to stand behind the product, but Dan Ross stood behind the work and made everything right. After lots of research, we figured out how to remove the mold, and we found an alternative product that looks great and should protect the wood for years. Many contractors would have run for the hills like the stain manufacturer did, but not Dan Ross. There is a reason why for many years Ross Painting has been the go-to high end painting contractor in Marin--exceptional quality, service, and integrity. That's why we choose them for our project, and we could not be happier with the results. PS They are also punctual. When they say they will arrive at 7 am, they do!
