We worked with Dubois 13 years ago to build a conservatory on our house. They seemed very knowledgeable and accommodating at the time but as the conservatory was being built several issues arose - scratches in the workmanship, crooked pieces, missing a vent cover - little things like that. After the project was complete - with us fixing the little things or leaving them as they were - we had problems yearly: panels sliding down, leaking through woodwork and windows, etc. I contacted them a couple times every year - for the first many years they came out and temporarily fixed the problem - each year I asked what can be done for this to not happen again - shovel the roof was generally the answer. After several years of leaking through woodwork we contacted another company to help us and the gentleman explained that the roof had not been vented properly and ice was forming and in the spring it would melt causing water through the walls and woodwork. We then paid this company to fix the problem because Dubois did not think there was a problem and that we needed to get the snow off the roof (since the other company fixed that the woodwork has not leaked - we continue to have other leaking). We continued to have trouble with panels leaking and having mold. The company does not return calls any more and has not for awhile. I wrote several reviews a year or so ago and I was contacted by the company to fix the problem - they offered us 2 options: the first option they were not sure if it would work but it would cost US $4,000, the second option would be to re-roof the porch and it would cost US $30,000. We made a counter offer and the gentleman said he would get back to us in 2 weeks - he never called - even after calling him multiple times. I called the company to ask about the gentleman and our situation - NEVER received a call back.
