The clean--up team was impressive. The approach to restoration was disjointed and not always what I hoped for. In the end, it all came out satisfactorily, but 1) the carpet firm that I met with to select the replacement was not the one that did the job (the change in the vendor happened without me receiving notice), & 2) the carpet layers tore the plywood on one side of the hollow door to them closet. The repair to the door was made without replacing the door & without the contract staff introducing themselves to me to let me know about the approach they planned to take.
They did great work with the finishing of our basement. Roger was very professional and paid attention to details. I would highly recommend All South.
They were fixing some tree damage. They were fixing the kitchen, but they weren't remodeling it. The owner's generally pleasant to work with. He kind of put together a good plan, and worked with the insurance company directly, which I appreciated. He also made it easy to understand the money part and what we were getting from the insurance company. Timing made it more a neutral experience, it took a lot longer than it should have; they were late on things. As good as the owner is, some of the people that work for him, I don't think are quite as good at communicating, and it just took longer than it should have. I'd give them a C.
DUPLICATE: The main guy, their main connection with us, David, was very communicative; he didn't talk to me like I was an idiot, but he explained things in terms I could understand. They repaired my roof, painted the inside, and repaired inside damage from the tree falling on the house. They also replaced our gutters, they rebuilt our shed from the ground up, and they replaced fencing, so they did a lot of work for us. It was a very large tree. I'd give them an A+ across the board. We came home after our camping trip and found that after they had sanded and painted that there was dust everywhere, but the second we said something about it they came right in and they cleaned everything from top-to-bottom. They really were excellent; the communication was fantastic. We had a lot of trouble with our first company and dropped them and used this one instead.
Thorough, on time, and a complete understanding of the contract that you have with them. They reconstructed a porch. I'd give them an A+. The work that was done was excellent.
All South's great. They're very professional, they do answer their phone, they do correct problems, and they're very cooperative and very professional. I had a problem with Irma; I had moved out of my house, and they did the restoration. They did the restoration—and, of course, the painting, the remodeling, all the stuff that goes with that. I'd give them an A; I can't say I had any problems. It took a long time but that was what we had to do, we had to be very patient. As far as the way they were—they were very professional and great. I would certainly agree that they're great.
Well, I was an engineer; they've done some work for me as a contractor and they've always done excellent work. They've done restoration work on mostly residential type projects for water damage or disaster—trees falling on houses, or water damage. A+—I always enjoy working with them. Every time I did a project with them, they had a project manager assigned to the job, and any time I had an issue, it was quickly resolved and taken care of promptly.
They were great. We were in Yellowstone when our dog sitter told us our house was flooded. We were able to communicate with them and give them the garage code to get in. They were like, 'Don't worry about a thing. We'll take care of it. It's best you're not in the house.' I came home and the demo had all been taken care of and was drying. They did a really great job. It's great. We got it all back to normal. I'd give them an A+.
I had a very positive experience with them, but not with who they subcontracted for my shower stall. The work that they did was very good, and they helped me out once the tile got messed up. It's fine now because they made sure the subcontractor fixed it. The people at All South were great. I'd grade them A+.
Every single person that we dealt with, them and the people that they brought in here were absolutely wonderful. I'm telling you, if we ever had another problem—dear lord I hope we don't—I pray we would get them because they are wonderful. Every single person that we dealt with, I mean, they bent over backwards—they called us right back, they answered our questions, and they came out if we thought we had a problem. They were wonderful; that's all I can say, that they were wonderful. I'm glad that whoever got us with them, I'm glad that they did, because they are wonderful. It was water damage. We had just moved here from Florida; the day after we moved here, we went down to buy a new washing machine, and two days later they delivered it. Now, we still had boxes stacked up in here, were trying to put stuff away, and the washing machine flooded—it was defective, the hose was defective in the back of it, and it flooded my house. Then the first company that came out—it wasn't All South, it was somebody else that came, somebody that the people that brought the washing machine called—and they were horrible. Then when they got us with All South—they went ahead and made sure that we got all the new carpeting, that the water heater was put in and out—everything. They were wonderful; I would recommend them for anything, and I'd give them an A++. There's not one little thing that I would do or say could be different; they were wonderful.
They're quick. The craftsmanship looks great. I can't get up there because it's on the roof, but it looks really good. We have an attic fan where the top flew off and they put a tarp to cover the attic fan so no rain would come in. I'd give them an A overall. I wasn't here. The guy who came out, who spoke a little English, was a little tough on my wife. We didn't know if we had to pay him or we couldn't give them any instructions.
They just did everything that they were supposed to do on time and were great to work with. They dried everything. We had a flood so they did all the drying. Then they did the restoration work. I'd give them an A+. They were really good. I've recommended them already.
NOT FOR BPC:
They were absolutely fantastic. They did really good work, they were on time, and they went above-and-beyond. I can't complain about those guys at all. All South—they came in, and they patched a pipe that had bust underneath my slab, so they patched that, patched the cement, laid down some new floor, and also painted in the room where the pipe burst. It's looking fantastic today—A+.
That had to have been the flooded floors—they came out and put some pads down to try to suck some of the water out of the floor, but it didn't work, so I ended up having to pay to have it all replaced anyway. I was a little surprised by some of the charges that came through. A little pricey; I'd rate them a B. They didn't really do anything after they tried to get the water out of the floor. The water work they did do was alright.
I've had really bad contractors in the past, and the guys were great. Everything they recommended and set time lines for—everything was good. They were always here. They were quick, and they were efficient in their work; I've had no complaints on the work. They rebuilt about 75% of the inside of my house—I had a flood on three stories—so they rebuilt five bedrooms, three baths, a kitchen and dining room, with walls and ceilings. They did a huge job; they did it in about six weeks, and I was kind of amazed—it looks brand new today. I'd give them an A+; I have no complaints. I would not only recommend them, but I would rehire them in two seconds.
They were just super-helpful the whole step of the way. They refinished my basement after a flood. It's beautiful; I'd give them an A.
The contractor did what he said he was going to do. He replaced my cabinets in my kitchen. There was a fire. I would give them an A+.
They're very professional, showed up on time, and I was very happy with the service. I had some basement flooding, and they restored it—actually better than the original. It still looks good today. I'd give them an A+, and I would recommend them.
They just worked well. I'd give them an A+. They did water damage restoration for me.
They did a good job and did it on time. They fixed my roof and dining room where the tree fell on the house. The roof and dining room look perfect. They look new. I would give them an A+ overall.
They came, did what we asked them to do, and they did what they said they were going to do. It was mold remediation—haven't had any issues since. I would give them an A+. They seem to know a lot about it, and they did a good job.
I feel like he went above and beyond what his scope of work was. I live in Massachusetts and my house was in Georgia. He has a liaison with the insurance companies for me. He went and did meetings that I couldn't get to. It was extremely nice work. I had two trees take the roof off my house and they replaced the whole roof, the gutters and all the good stuff. That's the best roof it's looked in years. Overall, I would give them an A+++. He reached out and helped me when I couldn't get down there. I couldn't hardly get another contractor to talk to me because I was up here. I was willing to talk to him on the phone and he walked around outside and I had pictures of the place and I talked to him off the pictures. It just blew me away how detail oriented he was. He goes, 'Well, the picture probably don't show this, but you had a deck light there. You had an outside light on the deck and it's gone.' I go, 'Oh, I didn't even see that in the picture.' He said, 'Yes, sir. That's gone.' I said, 'Well, can I get that added back on too?' 'No problem.' Just pointing out stuff that my pictures couldn't show me. I hadn't had dealing with anybody that good in a long time. It really restored my faith in contractors.
They did what they said and did a good professional job. They did mold, mildew, or something-remediation. I really don't know what it was, they just did some remediation work; I never had anything tested. They just cleaned up some 50-year-old home that had rafters that needed touching up. I don't live there anymore, but I'd give them an A+.
They have great customer service, and they were very reliable. They helped us replace all of the hardwood flooring on the main level; we had a water leak. So, I'd give them an A+.
